The Inn at Centre Park

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Inn this past weekend. We were attending an event at Santander Arena and wanted something close to the event and found this wonderful B & B. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner/operator, Dennis who was very welcoming, accommodating and gracious. He gave us a tour and the history of the home and then showed us to our room. The Parkview, which is one of three rooms offered. Ours was the smallest, BUT very spacious. Dennis did give us the opportunity to view on of the other rooms, I believe it is called The Wilhelm. That was beautiful as well with a sitting room, claw tub and separate shower. Once inside our room he pointed out the amenities of the room such as the refrigerator, and an electric fireplace should we want more heat. The bathroom was charming with the old fashioned claw tub, beautiful wood blinds, wood molding/trim throughout, it’s like stepping back in time. The bed was a king and very comfortable. At the time of check in we were asked what time we would like breakfast. Breakfast was delicious. A fresh fruit plate with a variety of melons and strawberries which was delicious. Beverages were your choice of juices and freshly brewed coffee. And then waffles with your choice of fresh toppings. We had a very pleasant stay and will be definitely like to stay there if we are in Reading again. Thank you Dennis for your hospitality.

We recently had our wedding at the Inn, and it was amazing. Dennis' attention to detail and hard work was phenomenal. The food we had at our wedding was excellent as well. Everyone that came had a great time. Thanks for an amazing day we'll never forget!

Such a charming and beautifully restored turn of the century mansion with different personalities in each room. The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Dennis the innkeeper is very friendly and makes you feel at home away from home. Excellent experience.

Beautiful old mansion full of charm and history. Dennis, the innkeeper was beyond hospitable. He was very friendly and put on no airs. We immediately felt comfortable. Dennis was happy to show us around and chat about the history of the home. We stayed in "The Wilhelm" suite. It was huge and well appointed. We felt as though we had stepped back in time, yet it had all the modern conveniences such as comfortable bed, television, refrigerator and Keurig coffeemaker. At check-in, Dennis asked what time we would like breakfast and if we had any food allergies or diet restrictions. After a wonderful night's sleep, we showered and headed downstairs. We were offered a variety of omelet selections and juices. A platter of the most delicious fresh fruit was served while our breakfast was being prepared. Our omelets were freshly made and served with bacon, potatoes and English muffin. My husband and I agreed that it was the best breakfast ever. We will definitely be returning to Reading, Pennsylvania to stay at the Inn at Centre Park.

My husband and I traveled to Reading for a family reunion and family history research; we chose the Inn because of its history and location on beautiful Centre Avenue. We stayed in the Wilhelm Suite, two rooms with original 1890s decor, a fireplace, wonderful woodwork, 6" soaking tub (plus shower) and comfortable beds/sofa/armchairs. Host Dennis made the visit even more enjoyable with restaurant recommendations, local history and his enthusiasm for the community. Our breakfasts were delicious, too.

My husband and I stayed for two nights in this beautiful, historic bed n breakfast. We had a perfect weekend. Besides the house being absolutely gorgeous, the innkeeper was friendly, helpful and wonderful to talk to! I highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway or any event you might want to have! Oh and the breakfast was delicious!!!
