Hotel in zona Genuss-Hofladen, Danis-Lamm & Presenti, Raron

Sad to share that what used to be a proud, classic 5-star Swiss hotel experience now is reduced to an overpriced mediocre experience, at best. Through my stays during the past 15 years, I have witnessed a hotel fading to become a worn-down average 3-star hotel without proper staffing or attentive service, but fighting to stay in the five star range – at least when it comes to pricing. How about a 40$ simple gin & tonic in the bar? After you had to walk over to the front desk so they could try to locate a grumpy bartender. Twice! Breakfast was slow, even we were the two only guests. Ordered fried eggs and it took at least 15 mins for them to produce it. Coffee was semi-cold all three mornings. In general, the staff has severe problems communicating in English, so expect confusion and misunderstandings. If you are sensitive to mold, well, you should definitely choose another hotel. The pictures speaks for itself, this is next to the bed. In general, the lack of maintenance of the hotel is very visible. If you try the outdoor pool, look out for screws in the deck which have popped out everywhere. The so-called Turkish sauna barely broke out a sweat, and the ceiling was black of mold. Leukerbad is quite hilly, so dragging your luggage around is not ideal. We therefore ordered transport by the hotel minivan at 8:30 to the bus station the day before departure, to make our connection for journey back home. The transport was confirmed twice by the front desk. Checked out at 8:15 and sat down waiting for the transport, nobody came at agreed time (come on, this is Switzerland, right?), minutes went by, our bus was departing soon, went to ask the front desk, she was sorry, but the portier had took off with the van filled with luggage for a group that was departing later. No one could not drive us. She had no other suggestion, so instead of calling a taxi or try to help us in another way, she just continued doing nothing and yelled it was not her fault. We ended up running through the town with our bags and made our connection in less than a minute. A good advice; pick another hotel in otherwise amazing Leukerbad. Les Sources Des Alpes can no longer defend their stars – neither price. A 3-star at best.

È garantito un soggiorno molto rilassante. L'hotel dispone di tutte le strutture per rendere il tempo trascorso là rilassante. La mia moglie e io siamo stati li' vicino alla fine di novembre in una stagione molto bassa. Potevamo essere gli unici ospiti, il ristorante era chiuso per una settimana. senza nemmeno chiedere, abbiamo ottenuto un aggiornamento gratuito da una stanza regolare a una suite con 2 balconi, vista sulla montagna, 2 bagni e un soggiorno. Il colazione era anche ampio e delizioso. Da un passato ricordo che il ristorante è anche molto bello e offre una varietà di buoni cibi. L'hotel Quellenhof i(nn alla fonte) si trova a 2 minuti a piedi dalla struttura di bagno pubblica alimentata da una primavera naturale calda dove si può facilmente nuotare in una grande piscina aperta se c quando neve, che lo rende molto affascinante. L'hotel utilizza le stesse strutture di parcheggio del bagno.Entrate lontano, non c'è più rumore di traffico, perché non c'è strada vicino all'hotel. Una buona scelta!

Prenoto tramite booking per il prezzo competitivo. Veniamo accolti da Emilia che con professionalità e gentilezza renderà il nostro breve soggiorno estremamente piacevole. La camera è grande con un arredo un po' datato ma molto pulita. La cucina ha tutto il necessario per essere indipendenti,inoltre in stanza ci attendeva una graditissima bottiglia di vino gentilmente offerta dalla proprietà. Abbiamo cenato in hotel, il ristorante è molto accogliente, in stile alpino,. Lo chef italiano ci ha saputo coccolare con una deliziosa fonduta. Il giorno dopo a causa di una forte nevicata avevamo delle preoccupazioni sul viaggio di ritorno. Emilia e il suo staff é riuscita a raccogliere delle preziose informazioni circa la pulizia delle strade e la viabilità, cosa che invece all ufficio del turismo non erano riusciti a fare. In bocca al lupo per la stagione e grazie!

The property is well located within the beautiful village of Leukerbad. Great pool and surroundings, perfect for hiking and relaxing, close to the thermal baths and to all facilities & restaurants in the town. The room was clean, comfortable, and while the bathroom was VERY small, it had all the necessary facilities and was clean. If you’re in Leukerbad to enjoy hiking, bathing, tanning, or simply hanging by the pool, it’s a perfect hotel. If you’re looking for a place with charming and forthcoming 4-star service, then you can forget this place without a second thought. My daughter has Crohn’s disease and cannot eat solid food. We had reserved a family room for 4 including breakfast. Upon arrival we asked if we could remove one BF from the bill, as my daughter wouldn’t have any: That wasn’t possible. We asked if we could benefit from any alternative offer (even a drinks voucher for the bar would have been nice). We were told “No, can’t do anything, my hands are tied!” – by whom I wonder? You have to book the restaurant for the evening. Having had a tiring drive with 2 young kids, we pre-booked the table and ordered the food for 7pm, we arrived at 7pm, the place was nearly empty, the food arrived at 8pm… my kids were already waning. The food was mediocre at best (even in Switzerland I’m not used to pay 130 Fr. for tiny portions of deep-frozen food). At 9pm we asked for the bill, and were told “You have to wait”. So we decided to leave and put our kids to bed instead. Even with the tired kids in tow, the waiter shouted after us “can’t you just wait 10 minutes?”… by now the place was totally empty… why? Spending some time at the pool with wet hair, my daughter asked if she could have more conditioner. We were told “No, only 1 per person per stay”… of those tiny tiny bottles… why? At least as we checked-out, the annoyed front office employee didn’t ask us if we enjoyed our stay (smart move there). And as we left the hotel for the last time before driving back home, an employee we had never seen before left us with these beautiful last words: “THAT’S THE DOOR!” (I’m not kidding)… Now, I understand the hospitality sector is in crisis because of a lack of schooled personal, but the lack of charm of the hotel staff (apart from a young lady at breakfast and a friendly young man in the restaurant) was almost comical.

Solo recentemente ristrutturato hotel. Punto di entrata molto ben progettato. Camere piccole, tutto necessario disponibile e pulito. Bagno separato solo con una porta di scorrimento, doccia con vetro lattiero-caseario aperto verso camere, purtroppo subottimale. Doccia pulita, porta molto stretta. Le camere erano estremamente calde (buono 27 gradi), su richiesta ci è stato detto che il riscaldamento è anche nuovo e difficile da regolare (camere accanto, lo stesso sistema di riscaldamento sia molto caldo o molto freddo). Purtroppo la finestra non è stata completamente aperta per l'aria. Personale molto amichevole e preconcettuale. Colazione con una scelta limitata, ma buon cibo. Butterautomat top.

Un ottimo hotel a prezzi economici ben situati a Brig. Ottimo personale. Vicino ai ristoranti, alle attrazioni e al trasporto. Il colazione incluso era fantastico e il personale era molto utile. Ci sono anche supermercati molto vicini che offrono cibi e servizi a microonde, così come vino e birra. Per coloro che non parlano francese o tedesco, ci sono diversi canali BBC. Un passo facile alla stazione. Ci piaceva visitare qui.

Dopo essere passata moltissime volte in treno da Brig senza mai fermarmi a vedere la città, la scorsa estate ho deciso di sostarci e ho prenotato una camera allo Stockalperhof. A causa di un inconveniente, ho ritardato notevolmente l'orario di arrivo, ma la modalità di self-checkin implementata dall'hotel è stata perfetta. La camera era pulita e spaziosa, con un gentile messaggio di benvenuto ed un bel balconcino con vista sulla città. Consiglierei molto sia l'hotel sia Brig, che merita senz'altro una visita.

last min stay at this self check in hotel was great, we missed our last train back to lauterbrunnen and this was near the train station. simple and comfy. had everything necessary even including a hearty breakfast. easy to contact the front desk even after weee hours for assistance. food hot shower bed and room was spacious and great.
