Summit Stonewood Hotel

Beautiful view great food, friendly staff. Perfect for a quick peaceful getaway. The restaurant has a good view and you can soak in sun there. If you are mountain enthusiast you ll love the views. The top floor rooms give a better view. You get hot water all day from solar heater here.

Everything about this property is so excellent! I visited with my family on October 2023. We were 5 adults together. We reached the hotel at 11.15 PM. It was too cold outside. We had pre-ordered our dinner over phone while en route. Even at that late night and middle of such coldness, the hotel authorities greeted us very nicely, served us hot and warm food right into our room. Such a nice hospitality! We stayed for 2 nights 3 days. It was a really memorable experience. We booked the Mahogany Family suite. Room was so well decorated! Especially the bathroom. Even at midnight we'd get plenty of hot water. Linens and beds were very clean. Room service was very good! The balcony with the room was too nice. One would get a very clear view of the Himalayan range sitting on the balcony. Please note that the range appears 90° to the right of the direction the balcony faces. Opposite to the balcony is a picturesque landscape! The hotel's roof rop was actually the cherry on the top. It is beautifully decorated with flowers all around. One would get almost 270° view of the landscape, with the Himalayan range on the right. We took breakfast on the terrace, while basking ourselves in the sweet warm sun rays, enjoying the snow clad mountain views. There is another covered restaurant on the terrace itself, where we had dinner the second night. The ambience was very classy, with wooden finish upholstery, warm lights! Food was also very good. Hotel staffs were very polite, well behaved and helpful. It has got car parking also with driver's room. We had our rental 7 seater parked there. The location of the hotel has been wisely chosen. It is approximately 10 KMs from the Ranikhent town, but that gives you so much advantage of enjoying the nature while being able to reach the market within 20-30 minutes. Only one disadvantage we observed was lack of any elevator facility. We had to constantly use stairs for getting up and down. Our room was on 1st floor and the terrace is on 3rd floor, so if you've got aged people please discuss with hotel authorities in advance. Although they told us that very soon they would be installing the elevator and that the work was just round the corner (this I verified when I found out that they had already constructed the elevator door openings on every floor). Last but not the least, because of its location in the outskirts, at night the sky becomes super clear and so we could very easily spot our Milkyway Galaxy from the terrace even with naked eyes!

The rooms were very good with excellent view of mountains and clouds. We stayed both at first and top floor. Both rooms were equally good. Services were excellent. Anuj took care of us very well with a smile and was always willing to go an extra mile to make us and our kid comfortable. . We went with our one and half year kid and we made her sleep early after her dinner and we had our own dinner at last call Anuj ensured that he came into the room quietly. The chicken pizza was very fresh and so was the pahadi chicken. Will suggest to stay her for complete relaxation.
