I keep visiting Ranchi on official trips. This time I selected Le Lac, since I had a very good experience with Sarovar Portico Saira Fort at Jaisalmer during October 2024. But my experience with Le Lac has been quite disappointing. Specious room. Good sleep quality at night. But there should have been a small rack inside the bath space; I could not use my own personal toiletries. Now coming to main issue. Evening time was horrible - there was tremendous sound due to some construction/renovation work. It actually started in the morning, but I thought that there would not be any issue in the evening. Proving me wrong, there was huge sound of hammering in the evening and I literally started feeling headache. I had to call the reception desk twice, but still their work continued. They finally stopped their work after 9:00 PM. It simply indicates that they are least bothered about the discomfort of the guest. At the check out desk also, my experience was not good. First of all, the lady who was attending my check-out matter, was more interested in the check-in activity of a group of guests who were already being attended by another lady. So I was getting delayed. But anyway, that is not a big fault, since I was not in hurry. More important was, after getting a confirmation from the house keeping staff, she directly told me that I had consumed two chocolates that were chargeable. I am a diabetic patient; I never consume chocolate / chips etc., and moreover, I never pick up those chargeable items in any hotel, simply because I am totally against paying a highly unreasonable amount of money just to have a piece of chocolate or a packet of air (+chips). It was thoroughly insulting for me that this lady just declared that in presence of other persons, without properly checking their own stock. This indicates that their people do not even have the basic sense of courtesy. Never going there again.
