"We enjoy the stay in nature. There is no wifi but our own phone internet is working fine. We came with own car as it is distantly located from ranau town or kundasang. The cleanliness is great, beddings are comfortable."

"房間比較新，簡單實用，床是那種比榻榻米略高些的矮床，衞生間門比較低矮，我經常碰頭，就算把觀景陽台推拉門關閉也房間經常進去一些小蟲子，這個挺煩的，另外有潮氣，床單被子有些濕氣，但可以接受，優點：有全扇大落地窗觀山景陽台，早上可以在床上看日出，可惜我那天有雲，沒有看到精彩的，晚上蟲鳴入睡，霧氣濛濛"

"Our stay here was absolutely magical!
The weather was perfect—chilly and pleasant, with a nice breeze. Since we’re used to hot weather, it was like a dream come true.
The reception area was huge and right next to it was a great restaurant that served delicious Nasi Goreng. There were plenty of parking spaces, and the resort itself was clean and well-maintained.
The view was incredible! From our room on the Kinabalu Wing, we could see the majestic Mount Kinabalu. It was breathtaking!
Just a heads up, the dirt and stone road leading to the resort is about 2.2 km long, and if you’re not used to it, it might be a bit bumpy. If you’re coming here for the first time, it’s best to arrive before dark.
I’m definitely going back here again! Maybe next time, I’ll have a barbecue under the stars of Kinabalu. That would be epic!"

"We stayed at Happy Pink, we like the cold nights and breeze there! The view is the same as the photos! Perfect for nature lovers who love sceneries' more the TV. The swing outside each house is enjoyable to have a view at Mount KK. We like the cosyness of the restaurants and the service there. Food is ok but a little slow in serving. Negative is that the water for showering is too weak to be used. We were joking that ”By the time the water flow down to our feet, our hair is already dry”"

Molto buono
DdesssmondStayed in the hotel single rooms. Pretty basic with everything as expected. Room was clean. Hot water was working. Has a nice window view of mount KK. No air conditioning here but the weather itself should be cold enough at night. Walked passed the villas and they looked very decent for whole families who would like to stay.
But at the point of my stay there was still some construction ongoing around the area so the vibes may not be as pleasant as expected. Should be more amenities available in the area once the construction is fully completed. But still way better than the other stays that we passed by along the way as the area is more private and not some random lodging by the roadside.
Reaching the place can be quite a journey and do expect climbing steep hills to reach the stay.
Was a bit confused initially as there was no reception counter and it was kind of like a self check-in situation. Of course the WhatsApp number they provide is quick to address any concerns so it’s fine.
Overall very good stay. Everything is still new as this place only opened just recently. In the future whether or not the place continues to thrive would depend on the maintenance and cleanliness of the facilities/rooms.

VVeraA simple spacious room with shared bathrooms in a lodge, with a hotel nearby where you can eat (not cheap but very nice and with excellent views of Mt Kinabalu). Clean bathrooms with good hot water showers. Really worth it if you are doing the full summit hike. I wanted to explore the park around and would have been better off staying near Poring hot spring.

La lenzuola era piena di polvere, piccoli bug morti.
Molto vecchio, può sentire dalle scale, doccia, voce televisiva, gente parla.
Comune:
La strada per Nikgold è molto difficile (come altre aree di Kundasang, quindi non è stato molto)
Nessuna linea telefonica, forniscono WiFi che è eccellente
In generale, è stato un piacevole soggiorno.

NNajeh YusriStai qui per una notte. La posizione è un po' lontana perché non puoi vedere il monte Kinabalu da nessuna parte, ma si troverai circondato da alberi di pino, che è anche un punto da aggiungere. Potresti sentire i venti di notte, un po' spaventoso, ma anche sereno allo stesso tempo. Non mi sarebbe stato disturbato da niente, tranne la rete. Era così lento durante il mio soggiorno, anche se forniscono il wifi. Qual è il punto che collega il wifi se non puoi usarlo comunque? La nostra rete telefonica non ha funzionato neanche, purtroppo. E' una grande preoccupazione perché la gente vorrebbe scrivere, chiamare le loro famiglie e amici oltre ad aggiornare i social media e a fare ricerca per attrazioni, ecc. Se il team di gestione potesse scoprire questo e lavorare per un migliore miglioramento su questo tema, sarebbe molto e più piacevole rimanere.

TL;DR: This place feels more like a meditation centre than a hotel, it will not provide you with supplements. It's a bare room. You need to bring toothbrush&paste and buy drinks somewhere as it is not provided. No tv and fan. No in-house restaurant. There are mosquitoes at the garden near afternoon, and the balcony at night, but there are no insects in the room (family room). In exchange you will get a very clear and vivid Mt Kinabalu view in the near-dawn morning (where there is no mosquito), a working shower with heater, concrete floor that reduces nearby noise, and cold foggy experience.
Long:
This place is within the fog path so you will get the foggy experience. You can also see Mt. Kinabalu at the right time and it looks quite close (e.g. dawn 6 a.m.). You can even see the electric towers and resthouse, it's that close. Moreover, this place is more like a meditation centre than a hotel. It is visibly run down probably since covid as that is also when the in-house restaurant got closed down. Considering my experience as a recurrent visitor of Kundasang, mosquito has always been the least of my concern. Somehow this place has lots of them. We got bit quite a lot in a short span of time.
Undesirable / Cons:
-No water kettle, no supplements (water bottle, coffee pack, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.). Porcelain mugs are provided though
-No in-house cafe/restaurant but nearby has a few (400 meters at least)
-No tv, no fan but cold in general
-Quite a lot of mosquito and moths outside at the garden place in the afternoon and at the balcony connecting the 2 buildings at night. There are no electric zapper.
-Seems a bit run down at the garden. 2 broken board pieces on the floor for example.
-It has no Qibla for muslim people, at least in family room
Desirable / Pros:
-Big room. Not smelly
-Is cement board floor
-Big single beds. Not smelly
-Clean bed. Fluffy cover.
-Water heater is working for family room at least
-Relatively clean inside room and at reception. No insects in room. No weird bugs around.
-Has a table and chairs in room
-Lots of electrical port
-Wifi provided by hotel is strong (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz
-Very near main road. So good road going towards the hotel
-Aki-Aki trail starting point is nearby. Plan to go next time so no experience as of this review
This place is not too bad. Not too good either. Personally, I wouldn't place this as my top place for the foggy and view considering other options but I don't mind returning if necessary. It will sure be much much better to highly recommended with much needed renovation and have some methods to deal with those mosquito.
p.s. There's a cute puppy that invites you at the entrance. 😂
p.s.s. I saw a greater coucal gliding into the forest in the morning!
