The staff, room, and location faultless. The restaurant seems to be going through a transition with strange opening times. The appearance also looks like its permanently closed from the outside. The inside, we had an amazing breakfast was clean, professional and organised. The restaurant is huge but looks like only parts are used and the other parts mothballed. Come on premier in you have a gem here get your act together, or you will turn happy customers into finding alternative options. A great staff team, and nicely served food will soon result in a poor experience, less customers, and no business. Not rocket science happy customers, served by happy staff makes a profitable business. Happy suits. Get it sorted staff on the ground doing their bit, senior management to yours.

We booked this hotel as a convenient spot close to Knowsley Safari Park to stay with our great niece and nephew for whom it was a first hotel experience. The hotel is rather old but our room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was in need of restoration and some food items were unavailable. There was no milk for cereals, we were expected to use mini pots used for tea and coffee! No fruit salad at dinner or breakfast.

Had a lovely quiet 2 night stay, all staff were very helpful and friendly..Nice clean room and comfy bed.. Brilliant location for visiting Knowsly, Formby or Crosby. I can't review the restaurant as we didn't eat there. We did get a delicious take away Pizza and potato wedges from JDs pizza. It's only a 5 minute drive away on Feeny st. The hotel also has a nice outside area and a few more table's would be well used in the nice weather.

We spent 85 nights at this hotel yes 85 nights.My neighbours house caught fire in April, unfortunately she died. My house was also damaged by the fire and bad smoke forcing us to stay in this hotel. From are arrival in April to leaving end of July the staff at this hotel bent over backwards to make our stay as comfortable as possible. From the Receptionists to HouseKeepers to Restaurant Staff all were so lovely to my wife and myself in this very difficult time. We are in our seventies and were made like family, and we were very grateful to them. We were sorry some of the restaurant staff lost their jobs as Whitbreads closed the Beefeater on site. I thought the staff were treated disgraceful by this big company. Once again thank you staff of this hotelwe will always remember your kindness. Des and Elaine

Staff are super welcoming and ever so helpful. We stayed in a ground floor room for 2 nights and paid just over £200. Despite local events and the hotel being full, there was always plenty of parking...easily found a space even when returning late at night. The room was ok, very tired looking and is in need of a refresh. The beds are not comfortable. If you opt for a family room, the sofa bed is rock hard so expect your child to complain and for your partner to draw the short straw and have to swap over. The cups/glasses were filthy and we did not have enough for the 3 of us to use...odd. But we did have enough towels for 3. The biggest issue for me was the amount of spiders! I counted 7 large spiders on the ceiling in the corners. When we arrived the window was ever so slightly open, however on closer inspection the ceiling and lights (even the lights adjacent to the bed) were covered in cobwebs! Its clear that this room on the ground floor has not been cleaning properly in several months. Cob webs like that do not form over night and it should have been fully cleaned in the morning before our arrrival. I am not keen on spiders at all...so I wanted to complain...get a hoover off of the staff and hoover the entire room but my Husband does not like to make a fuss so instead I resorted to drinking both nights so that I could fall straight to sleep and not be worried about them crawling over me. Needs must :) If this was not the closest hotel to where are family are located then we would not stay here again due to the room cleanliness. I will take a small hoover with me for next time. Maybe asking for a room on the 1st floor might lessen the amount of spiders...🤞

Very disappointed with the new restaurant model, completely lacks any atmosphere. Don’t think any consideration has been given to the community that would have previously used the bar & restaurant. We stayed before the change it was good

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel before as we have relations living near by. The hotel is very clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. 2 armchairs would have been nice instead of 1 as it's nice to sit and relax in the evening. apart from that everything was excellent as usual.

The staff are very friendly nothing is too much trouble! There is as much free tea and coffee as you would like, the beds are really comfortable with recent new mattresses and the rooms are clean and fresh! If you don’t feel like eating in the attached Beefeater restaurant you can order a takeaway and eat in your room!

Stayed for one night. Lovely friendly staff at check in and nice clean room with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was tasty lots of choice
