The experience staying in hotel was nice and wonderful.. The hospitality was very warming and helpful especially the mangaler and front desk was very helpful whenever we called, swimming pool was neat and clean, Sea Food was tasty nice Room neat and clean but need little bit improvement overall experience was good.

The resort is a good property especially for family with kids. Good location, good vibes. The only thing that can be improved is the ambience and the service. The staff is polite, serves you well. Need improvements with basic services like providing complimentary water bottle for the day without asking. But a place worth recommending for a good stay and family getaway!

”during my recent stay at hotel mari aai, i had a fairly good experience. The hotel's location was convenient, and the staff was generally friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities met my basic needs. However, there were a few areas where improvement is needed. The room interior is not so good. The wi-fi signal was a bit weak, and the breakfast options were somewhat limited. Additionally, there was some noise from neighboring rooms, which affected the overall tranquility of my stay. In summary, hotel mari aai provided a decent stay, but there is room for enhancement in terms of amenities, interior design and noise isolation. I would consider staying here again, depending on my needs for future trips”

The overall experience was good, specially the food. Just a couple of things: 1. They do not offer room service, unless you know the owner. We saw food being delivered to another room but when we asked for it the straight up denied. 2. The room is good but not at all worth the tariff

UUtente ospiteRadha's Cottage is a lovely retreat, very well located at the end of the road in Matheran. It's a simple place, furnished largely with period furniture. The food is outstanding - the best I've had in 6 weeks of traveling in India.
For those who are unfamiliar with Matheran as I was, a couple pieces of information:
- The ”toy train” runs very infrequently. Be sure to get a schedule if you plan to take it from the parking.
- It's a 4.5km walk from the train station near the parking to Radha's. Don't believe the stationmaster if he tells you it's a 20 minute walk, it's an hour's walk.
- It's still another 1.5km from the train station in the village to Radha's. If you've got a bag it's probably a good idea to get some help from a porter.
- Sometimes the electricity goes out. When we stayed, these outages were brief, just a minute or 2.
- Sometimes the water in the bathroom is dark brown. This surprised us one morning. It's dirt, and cleared during the course of the day.

UUtente ospiteThis is a historically important location in Matheran. Ratheesh and his business partner were so welcoming and helpful and the accommodation is so full of character. For a truly “green” and unique stay in a totally unique location, the Verandah in the Forest is absolutely a must. This is undoubtedly the place to stay in Matheran if you can get a room - would suggest booking early so as not to miss the chance to stay here - and is so much more than a hotel.
Food was superb and because of the size and layout, never seemed busy. Quiet and relaxing stay.
As there’s no phone signal in Matheran Hill Station I’d suggest contacting Ratheesh before making the ascent to the hill station for location instructions. There is wi-fi at the Verandah in the Forest.

Il nostro soggiorno era bello, lo abbiamo persino esteso per due notti senza alcun problema. Il personale dell'hotel era sempre pronto a aiutarci con qualsiasi inchiesta.La camera era grande e con tutte le cose necessarie.

UUtente ospiteLa posizione è a soli 5 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia. Le camere sono pulite. La cena è un po' costosa ma il colazione complimentare era buono. Le strutture sono buone. La piscina è troppo vicina all'ingresso e il helpdesk per poter sentirsi un po' inquietante se non si è abituati a esso. Il servizio è buono. Buona esperienza generale.

UUtente ospiteThe property was partly under renovation when we went. Seating for food was outdoors but that’s managed well. It’s close to the beach and easy to locate. Food is decent. Rooms don’t have Wi-Fi. Staff is friendly and co-operative. Swimming pool doesn’t seem to be maintained so didn’t feel like getting in.

La posizione era perfetta, solo a pochi passi dalla spiaggia, che rendeva così facile godere dell'oceano ogni volta che volevamo. Il cibo era delizioso, con una grande varietà di opzioni da scegliere, assicurando a tutti di trovare qualcosa che amavano. La piscina era grande e rinfrescante, perfetta per rilassarsi dopo un giorno di esplorazione. Inoltre, ci sono stati molti giochi e attività divertenti per mantenere tutti divertiti. In generale, è stato un grande soggiorno, e non possiamo aspettare di tornare!
