Recently I booked 2 nights and 3 rooms for 3 families at Quality Inn & Suites Amsterdam on July 15th and July 24th. I called the hotel about July 15th and told them our flight arrived late around 1 am. And the front desk (Tina) said their shuttle service would not be available during that hour. I told them that I totally understood the situation and asked them to give me the contact of the local Taxi service. Then our friends and my family took the Taxi from the airport to the hotel. But the next morning they told us that there were no people available to run the shuttle service to the airport. So we called the Taxi again to go to the airport to get our rental cars. I told them we would come back on July 24th and needed the shuttle service to the airport. The trip from the hotel to the airport is about 10 minutes. On July 25th I asked them about the shuttle service to the airport and they said the shuttle service was not available again. There are 3 staff working at the front desk who told me different reasons why they were not providing the shuttle service. One person was saying the shuttle service would not operate due to COVID. And one person was saying that the shuttle driver was not there. Finally, the manager (Eugene) said that they did not provide the shuttle service. This was 7:30 am on July 25 and we were planning to go to the airport around 10 am. So they gave us the same Taxi service contact again. The shuttle service is on the hotel’s billboard. The staff could provide us a reasonable excuse not to provide the shuttle services and did not have to lie about this with different excuses.
