Hotel Casona Misiones Querétaro Centro

It does not justify the price at all, this hotel is no really 4 stars as advertised, the room was super super small. There was not even a space to leave the suitcases. The room didn't even have windows. The air conditioning does not work. There were no electrical outlets in the room, except for one in the bathroom. The floor is stained, it looks dirty. The bathroom was fine, in fact the bathroom is almost the size of the room. I requested an iron and a chair for my room, since there was none. The person at the reception only gave me excuses and and did nothing. I had to go out myself to get it from the service staff, they were the only friendly people in the hotel. On the ground floor of the hotel there is a flea market, it is full of people in the hallways, and there is very little privacy. Staying at this hotel is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. It needs a lot of improvements. I don't recommend this place.

So we found this treasure in the historic centre. We were showned this room. The minute we saw it my husband said: "let's take it". It was before Christmas and this is a pedestrians only street. Excellent location. It was a bit noise in the early evening, as there are lights hanging and speakers that play loud music and the lights shone in sync with the music. But after 10 pm there was no noises, quiet and pleasant. I personally loved the music so did my husband. And we could walk to many places from our location. The room was huge! such a big difference from our unpleasant experience at the "Morelos Hotel". I joked that any time I could see the spirit of Porfirio Diaz ( a Mexican dictator that loved Europe) coming and asking what was I doing in the Presidential Suite. Because this suite was so fantastic I am sure any President from the early 1900s would have been well hosted . Great beds, great space, we had a TV across from the white couch. There is a chappel, so I think it must have been a convent long ago. We were delighted with our room, the hotel and the location.
