Breakfast is gorgeous. Location is great. Just bad luck that the lift is under maintenance or would prefer a higher floor room.

The amenities are very dated and no noise insulation at all, so u can easily hear your neighbor cough or talk. Other than that, it’s ok.

Rooms are really old, pillows have stains, elevator was out of service.

A hotel with great meal and great location

The hotel is very well located right in the center of Queenstown and a stone's throw from the lake, and short walk to all essentials. Service was pleasant but they can do better with the billing and the taxi service. Facility was clean, certainly not new but OK for a holiday. Buffet breakfast was great with lots of choices, and the barista coffee was excellent. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was also quite good too, but you're spoiled for choice as a foodie in Queenstown!

The hotel’s location is second to none, right by the lake. Just open your room door, and there it is. The Queenstown CBD is only 5 to 10 mins walk away. If you need to go to the Station for your tours, it’s only 5 mins walk away too. So location is just perfect. The staff here are also super duper polite, professional, friendly and helpful. Kudos to them! However, the only downside is that the room amenities are very outdated. Still with shower curtains, very small bath tub, incredibly old and somewhat rusty kettle, to name a few. Other than the facilities, this hotel is perfect for your Queenstown trip.

The location is fantastic, right in the CBD - no need to book a car rental. The staff were amazing, very friendly and have they have a nice team culture. This is our 3rd stay and will definitely book NOVOTEL again. The only comment is that the hotel is starting to show its age and carpeting, paint work etc. are probably close to needing an upgrade. Our room overlooked the courtyard with beautiful Cherry Blossom trees in full bloom and the Gondala and Alpine setting and mountain view. Quite spectacular! Highly recommend the NOVOTEL.
