Parents of neurodivergent children BEWARE!! We were visiting family for the day and spent most of our time at the pool. The lifeguard on duty was horrific, she abused her power and was often yelling unnecessarily at the kids trying to have fun. After yelling at my autistic son for going down the slide with his little sister, my sister ( who was watching him at the moment) approached the lifeguard and explained that my son was neurodivergent and would not respond well to her yelling at him, so if he did something that needed to be corrected could she please let my sister or myself know so we can talk to my son ourselves which would greatly reduce the risk of a meltdown. The lifeguard looked her in the face and said “ I will NOT do that, kids need to listen to ME and learn to listen to other people besides their parents.” After trying to explain again why this wouldn’t work for my son, the lifeguard became even more aggressive in the way she was speaking to my sister. It was shocking. Shortly after a young boy with Down syndrome was eating his ice cream by the pool, the lifeguard marched over there and yelled at the boy, “you can’t have that here!!” Grabbed the ice cream out of his hand and took it to his mother who was sitting by the fence. Everyone sitting there was horrified. It was really sad to watch the little guy so confused and upset while he was on vacation just trying to have fun. If your job is to monitor kids, it is crucial that you are sensitive to the neurodiversity of children and are properly trained to handle their uniqueness in a respectful manner. When you are approached by a caregiver who explains the needed way to deal with a neurodivergent child and decide that you are more equipped to handle that child using force and aggression, YOU are in the wrong job. That life guard is very lucky that it was my sister she was dealing with and not me. I will not recommend this resort to anyone. I am extremely disappointed and shocked.

Ho davvero goduto il mio tempo a The Tide’s Inn Parksville. Calma, molto comoda materassi e cuscini. Il personale era al di là della recriminazione! Ottimo servizio. Perfetto per il mio animale domestico. Ci sono goduto i piatti di fuoco e vicinanza alla spiaggia e ai servizi. Ben fatto!

Questa è la mia prima volta che sono rimasto qui e sono stato molto impressionato. In futuro sarò certamente tornato al Bayside Resort. Il personale che mi ha fatto camminare in porta era sorprendente. Erano molto gentili e molto utili e molto informativi per tutte le mie domande e esigenze. La stanza era molto pulita e i letti erano molto confortevoli. Sono venuto per un fine settimana rilassante e ho avuto solo questo. Il ristorante e il personale dello studio erano così bello e sul pallone. Era molto occupato, ma non si sono mai sbattuti e mi hanno sempre fatto sentire come se fossi l'unico nella stanza. Sono stato molto impressionato. E' stato deludente che non ci fosse un tubo caldo, perché si occupava di riparazioni in quel momento, ehi, queste cose accadevano, ma la piscina era grande e la sala di allenamento/studio era molto impressionante. La posizione di questo resort è sorprendente, sinceramente non può ottenere molto meglio. Visione spettacolare sulla spiaggia di una delle spiagge più popolari di questa regione. Che bel posto!! Mi sento come se potessi andare avanti e indietro, tutto quello che ho avuto una grande esperienza al Bayside Resort e sarò sicuramente presto!!

Il prezzo è molto alto. L'hotel dovrebbe ridecorare non molto tempo. La stanza è pulita e pulita, il letto è molto comodo, la temperatura è appropriata. La sala di soggiorno del primo piano ha gratis un caffè e un'acqua calda per bere, aperta per 24 ore. L'hotel è un grande McDonald's, un buon autobus cinese è sul lato dell'hotel, e c'è un cammino a 50 metri, ci sono supermercati e altri affari vicino.Insomma, è molto conveniente.Molto soddisfatto

Il Mar è sul lato della spiaggia, passi lontani da tutto quello che ti serve, e la vista è UNREAL. Non si può trovare una posizione migliore per il prezzo. Il personale era alloggiato, Eileen era sorprendente. Questo sarà il nostro motel-to Parksville andare avanti.

Il paesaggio è bello!La spiaggia dice che c'è un cavolo di asino e non c'è raccolta diverse volte.Forse non possiamo essere standard.Ci sono piccole scatole nel ristorante sottostante, e la cena può essere prenota.

Our group of nine, four adults and five teenagers spent seven days at this resort. We had two separate units and we had the units with three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is actually its own studio suite which was kind of nice because it does have its own fridge and a little AC unit and it’s own separate bathroom so it was really, great actually We were in the 200 building facing the pool. If you’re not a lover of family resorts or kids this may not be the place for you or at least don’t face the pool lol. There are a number of different types of accommodations here and there are also some townhouses which I think are two bedroom suites which looked very nice. There’s also some villas, but they book up a year in advance And they overlook the ocean which is beautiful. We were on the third floor of the 200 building and we could see a little bit of the ocean from our balcony. The nice thing about our room was that it did face the pool, but it was really quite private because there was trees in front and when you’re sitting on the patio , you had a lot of privacy. The balcony had an overhang as well, which was nice. There’s also a gas barbeque on the balcony which we used a few times The AC units are the ones that vent outside and they’re decent enough. (Not central air like the townhomes had). The pool is open until 11 o’clock every night. The teenagers had complaints about the hot tub that it wasn’t hot enough, but overall the pool was fine. My couple complaints are just observations about the places that you may not want to have somebody above you if you’re in the Buildings where the condo/Apartment style units are. As I said we were on the third floor and this building is four floors and you could hear a lot of the people above you stomping around. Not a dealbreaker I mean we were fine with it, but they had little kids and they were ripping around quite a bit so it was kind of annoying when they would start at 6 AM. anyway it wasn’t that bad Just an observation. The property, at least in the apartment style condo units don’t get cleaned for the time that you’re here so you have to constantly ask for things when you run out such as toilet paper, sugar, those kinds of things. Parking could be a struggle from time to time because the place fills up a lot every night, especially on the weekends, but it was never a huge deal for our group. Overall experience here though was very good and we would return.

This centrally located Hotel was exactly what we needed! The front desk team was so accommodating. Special props to Desiree who went out of her way to ensure we had an enjoyable experience! Unfortunately we the restaurant was closed on the Wednesday we arrived. Port Alberni has some really nice restaurants. The people are relaxed and friendly. The sauna and whirlpool were a great way to relax. We were very happy with the Barclay Best Western!
