Tui Magic Life Kalawy

It was a short break to Egypt as the weather was brilliant, but the hotel was a little bit disappointing, God I miss the old days with real reps, and real customer service, the rep at the hotel didn't have a clue, every question was check your app, anyway the hotel was ok and the food was good but don't waste your time on the special restaurants as they were awful, you also had to pay extra for branded drinks like Ammeretto which wasn't branded the main reason was the hotel was 98%German no disrespect but the kids found it hard to make friends the entertainment staff was also all German and the constant pestering to book trips, the Chill team was annoying, (get a RED ***** from the towel lad it stops them asking you for trips, well most of the time) the Snorkeling was brilliant and the free paddle boarding and kayaks was great fun for the kids, and what ever you do don't book your choice of room as stated on the app it gives you a choice of the rooms available which you have paid for but on arrival they will charge you 120euro per week ( not stated in the app) very disappointed. Beautiful sea view room .Block 19 Food,cleanliness absolutely spot on. The gardens were stunning. Couldn't fault this hotel. So much to do or just pure relaxation, everything you could possibly need. The staff are incredible and really make this place even more special. Have to mention the most knowledgeable friendly and helpful Mokhtar the life guard on the pier. He takes his job very seriously and watches everyone closely when they are snorkeling. The security guard on the Pier Ebraham always had a smile too. For beach service Karim was amazing, so welcoming and happy. Many of the cats are neautered, just a few toms by the relax pool that need catching and of course , the younger cats when old enough. One improvement would be to fill the cat feeders by blocks 18,19 and 20 more often. The cats near the main part get plenty of food. The beautiful white long haired cat needs a grooming. I did mention this at check out. It was beautiful seeing the cats well looked after. Food and drink plentiful and loads of choice . Can't wait to return. Absolutely blown away. Well done to all.. A true oasis in the desert.

Currently here at Magic Life Kalawy and overall it is a top class hotel and experience. There are a couple of niggling problems, The main one being the Internet access, which is very sporadic and a problem when trying to book classes or restaurants. We paid extra for a sea view but as we are in block 19, the view is mainly of the desert, although the room is spacious and well furnished. We feel we have been pushed away from all the pretty gardens and the better sea views. The food and the restaurants are really good for mass catering and there is always plenty of choice and the quality is first class. We would certainly recommend this hotel for winter sunshine but wouldn't like to be here in the height of the summer as it would be unbearably hot. Overall it is very good and we will probably return.

I just spent a week in Safaga’s TUI magic life hotel. Some minuses but overall amazing resort. + The best buffet I have ever eaten as a vegan. Clearly marked vegan symbols in foods. However sadly there are no vegan desserts, but I didn’t mind it that much (there were fruits, strawberries etc.) The food was good, amazing different sauces, vegetables, protein sources etc. + A lot of sunchairs (at least for winter capacity) and beach towels are provided. + Bars use reusable cups and paper straws which is good for the environment. + Cool things like open air cinema, theater shows, etc. - Although it is not permitted to reserve sunchairs, people do it A LOT which is very annoying. They reserve spots and are then absent for hours. Unfair and annoying practise by a lot of the tourists. - Our Tui driver (airport to hotel transfer) demanded tip money before giving our bags. Giving the tip (5€/2pp) was not the issue, but the way the driver demanded it.. Afterall, we had already paid TUI 20€ per person per one trip. Several workers seem to want tips which is understandable but something we did not know to prepare for per info on TUI’s website. - Quite a lot of noice from outside in the evenings (music). Our room was on the other end of the reception, the sea and the restaurants, so walking was required, not an issue for us but something to take into account. -The wifi did not work in our room or anywhere near it. We got an additional wifi device (deposit 20€), it worked but never automatically, I always had to keep pressing the buttons on the device multiple times before it connected to my phone. Wifi works in public areas quite well, except in the buffet space where it doesn’t work at all. So websites promising wifi in the rooms. is a bit too much promised. THE BIGGEST MINUS: - We were worried about the cats’ wellbeing at the resort. Cats are naturally territorial and somewhat in need of humans and their love and care, both of which the hotel does not have the opportunity to provide. The cats often fight at the resort and within a week we have seen many cats with bad looking wounds. Signs about cat care can be seen all over the hotel (abour providing food and water), but the care can not be limited to feeding. From what we saw during the week, fingting among th cats is a real concern. I understand that cats are a good attraction for customers but it needs to be ethical and right for the cats, not for the humans. I very much hope that the cats are getting care from vets. // Liebe Deutsche: Ein sehr schönes Hotel, wunderschöne Umgebung, gutes Essen (viele Optionen für mich als Veganer), viel zu tun und zu sehen. JEDOCH: Obwohl es nicht erlaubt ist, Liegestühle zu reservieren, machen es die Leute SEHR VIEL (meistens nur Deutsche), was sehr ärgerlich ist. Sie reservieren gute Plätze und sind dann stundenlang weg. Ich weiß nicht, wie man das besser regeln könnte, aber es ist kaum zu glauben, wie viele Leute das ständig machen. We visited in may for the second time. We recommended this hotel to people near home, they booked and went to Kalaway and had just as much fun as we did as a family. So much so, we're returning in may next year with the people with recommended this hotel to, alongside my mum and her partner. This will be the 3rd time visiting kalawy. We cannot fault this impeccable hotel. The variety of food is AMAZING, so much choice, accommodating for everyone. The cleanliness is spotless! The gardeners taking good pride in their grounds work daily and always so polite. The activities are endless but also there's an adult only pool area if you just want to relax. The snorkling off the pier is a must do, the sea life is truly magical to witness. The unlimited FREE waters ports is an absolute bonus, we enjoyed the paddlesboards more often than we probably should have. The reception team were fantastic, go above and beyond to make your stay welcoming and unforgettable. The entertainment is of great variety. We can't wait to return again next may, we're keeping it a surprise from the children until the day, otherwise we'll have endless questions about the water slides, which they loved and the delicious bar food that's served from 10am onwards. This hotel and the staff are truly remarkable. Highly recommend to anyone that's thinking of visiting.

This was our second visit to Kalawy and it really is a home away from home. The resort looks like something straight out of a travel magazine. The gardeners do the most fantastic job and are always so friendly when you walk by them! The housekeepers and cleaners never stop working! Again they always greet you with a friendly hello! The bar staff and waiters are amazing, they again work so hard remembering drink orders and often used to bring me a tea without me even asking. The lifeguards are simply the best I’ve ever known at a resort. When there were minor accidents they were quickly on hand and fantastic at cheering up upset children. They honestly deserve more credit than I could ever give them in a review. Ali was as amazing as last year and was always ready with our towels and a smile for our daughter! The food is the best I have ever had at an all inclusive resort. The chefs are incredibly talented and again super friendly! The restaurant staff always had our drink orders and a high chair ready for us and nothing was too much trouble for them! Lena from guest services was here again and it made us so happy to catch up with her!! She really is fantastic at her job! The children’s club was amazing and although our daughter is too young currently our friends took their 4 year old and she couldn’t get enough of going and cried when we left. The heated pools were brilliant for the children and I loved a swim in the cold water pool. It was very refreshing. Creative station was amazing and we painted our own t shirts as souvenirs. Highlights was the sundowner on the beach. The silent disco, the afternoon pool party with the family bubbles. Sadly we missed the foam party this year but that’s amazing too! I could tell you the positives about this hotel over and over again but honestly you should just book it!!
