Tui Magic Life Kalawy

This was my first time in Egypt & the first time travelling as a single parent. We absolutely loved this hotel & I would definitely return back. The place is full of charm, our room was lovely & the A/C was amazing (needed in the 45 degree heat!) The hotel is very isolated but has everything you need on site. I don’t have any negatives about our visit, the only thing I would of liked less of is the hard sale for the spa/boat trips/camel rides etc around the pool as they were quite pushy which was intimidating as a single female. The entertainment was always good, always plenty going on during the day around the main pool. We opted for the pool closest to our room which had the water slides on & we also used the beach several times. The free kayaks are great fun! It’s a yes from us - we will definitely be back!

The Good: Hot in June (36-38°C). Hotel nice, good facilities, good staff. Coral snorkeling trip was amazing. Food good. Drinks ok. Entertainment so-so. Aircon in rooms fab. Loads of cats, generally friendly. The not-so-good: Very hot in June (36-38°C). Wifi in rooms terrible; have to go outside mostly. Horses used for horse riding not kept well and have to go alongside main road for 100yards where trucks honk to scare the horses. Sunbeds reserved with towels early every day despite not supposed to be. Lacking watersports provision. Little actual beach. In summary this is a 4star resort but not 4+. We had a good time (middle aged parents with a 9yo girl) but i ask why travel that much further and pay more for no more bar the coral compared to southern Europe unless taking a trip to see Egyptian heritage (but that is a long way way by road)?

A beautiful place is made by beautiful people, and this is doubly true here. Great staff, always nice and willing to help, excellent food, wonderful surroundings with the possibility of various trips. The rooms are always nicely cleaned. We really enjoyed it here.

Half way through 2 weeks here and I can’t speak highly enough of the place. They know how to mix relaxation and fun. It’s well suited to families couple, lively and chilled. I know that it isn’t why you book but it is the cleanest place we have ever been - squads of gardeners, pool staff and others pruning, mopping and ensuring everything is tip top. Without exaggeration, when you walk from the pool to the sun loungers a man appears to mop the puddles to prevent any slip hazard. The food is as good as we experienced when rated by tour operators at 5 star round the world. Massive veggie and vegan selections at each meal. The restaurants - Italian and Eastern so far - are very worth booking! The drinks are very good and you’re rarely left with an empty glass. Rooms - great. Nothing OTT but plenty of space and immaculate!! Mini bar is restocked with cans of Pepsi 7Up Heineken and water every day. Plenty of beds round the pool and decent towels. Bring a snorkel - there are amazing things to see - and I’ve lost count of the number of people that have been in the water with the turtle off the jetty. The fish stingray and octopus are all there to stand and look at We did the quad safari at sunset. Not cheap around €100pp last 3 hours and in the top 5 experiences that we have had as a family. Worth every penny. We booked with Chill Tours round the pool and Soly and Body were off the scale as tour guides - we didn’t pay extra for a private tour but there was just the four of us and the guides making it a special experience! The photos at Sun set and video on the way to the Bedouin village were incredible. In the village you get a little food and drink and welcome shade. Bring local money for tips - although a little goes a looooong way. Also bring a good bug repellent. Only half way through and delighted we booed to come here. Don’t stress about anything negative that you read on here. This is a top place to holiday!

We've just come back from a week at kalawy and will definitely be back The resort is beautiful, well kept and clean .. someone mentioned lots of cats . ...there are a few . Maybe 20 on the whole resort but they stay in their own little areas and don't bother anyone. The grounds are kept impeccably tidy all day in 40 degrees, the pools are beautiful and not over crowded ,always plenty of sun loungers Staff are superb, cannot do enough for you but bear in mind they love a tip ( preferably English money ) Our room was spacious and clean, sea view and pool view....air con was a godsend as was the mini bar ,which was stocked daily Bathroom was huge Food was amazing,too much to choose from and always hot and freshly cooked Snacks bars by the pool offered burgers, chips, pizza, sandwiches and fruit all day. The guides do try to sell you things all the time but you can get a red scalf from the towel collection points to tie around your area and they don't bother you, but they are very nice and if you say no they will leave you alone The beach is amazing, mind the fish ! Snorkeling and boat ride for the day is a must Would suit couples, families with no children as its not geared up for young kids....no water park....tiny kids clubs and the activities available are mostly 16 or over If you want a week of relaxation and doing nothing this is the place !

In the beginning, I would like that everything in this hotel is fine, starting from the moment of arrival in the reception and accommodation area, and the beautiful room in every way in terms of cleanliness and location 14117. I would also like to extend a big thank you to the kitchen department and all the people working there, especially Chef Tariq for the distinguished and varied food and his approachable method as well. Not alot to say except this hotel is exceptional, food different variety every day , cleanliness everywhere throughout the hotel was exceptional, beautiful gardens consistently maintained friendly staff , great location , great entertainment
