This was my third stay at the Caerwylan, which says plenty in itself. The welcome is always genuinely friendly with check in that is quick and efficient. The rooms are comfortable and a very good size, with spacious bathroom. They are very clean and the service is always good. The breakfasts are excellent, with lots of choice of both hot and cold food. The food quality is also excellent and it is nicely cooked and with quick and friendly service. The view from my chosen room was very nice, looking up towards Criccieth's impressive castle but if you decide on a room at the front of the hotel (which I have done previously), the view across Ceredigion bay towards Harlech and beyond is spectacular. The separate off-road parking was much appreciated and only a few dozen steps from the hotel. I can highly recommend the Caerwylan.

This hotel is truly a little gem, 7 of us came to stay over the bank holiday, to celebrate the life of my mum who sadly passed away in March. It’s was an amazing stay the staff were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were lucky enough to stay in an executive sea view room, these are massive and have a seating area with the most unbelievable view. We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night and the food was just exemplary and very reasonably priced. It was the first time staying in Criccieth, after the stay it certainly won’t be the last.

The Caerwylan Hotel was a really great find in beautiful Criccieth. A very friendly welcome, a lovely bedroom with amazing views and very good restaurant with great food and service. We really couldn't fault any part of our 2 night stay (even the weather was perfect!) and we will definitely be returning!

Although I only stayed for one night I found the staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel is tastefully decorated and clean. Excellent food in the restaurant. A rather hard mattress but the room was comfortable. The views across the bay are spectacular from the lounge. I would stay here again

Great breakfast & Location sea views perfect. Lounge area very comfortable.very accessible to train station. Recommend Criccieth to Aberdovey train trip one of the best in UK. Parking is very close and free. Hotel has recently been decorated and new carpets in lounge & restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Caerwylan Hotel. Our room overlooking the sea and castle was superb, very clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. We were greeted very warmly and offered help with our luggage. All the staff were very courteous and efficient. The food was delicious, freshly cooked and well presented. The cheesecake was the best we have ever tasted. We will certainly return.

The hotel is in a fabulous position on Criccieth seafront with excellent views of the coastline and castle. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. Food was excellent and staff friendly. We will definitely be returning.

Very comfortable and the staff are friendly and supportive. The hotel is a few yards from the sea, and so plenty of opportunities to watch it change from grey to blue! I had an excellent meal in their restaurant including the biggest cannelloni I've ever seen (it also tasted good!) Breakfast was good, plenty of food and a lot to choose from.

This was a great hotel! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room had amazing views of the water and mountains. Nice chairs in the room so you could sit and admire the views at night. Good location for going off and doing walks around the area. I would recommend paying for the hotel parking as parking elsewhere would be a pain. The restaurant in the hotel is probably the best in the area. Ate there both nights and enjoyed all the dishes we had. The selection of cheeses was excellent and the perfect portion sizes. Really enjoyed our stay and would come back if in the area again.
