Decided to stop off here on the way home following a trip to Cornwall. I write this in the bar just having dined and cannot believe the quality of meal we have just had. Thoroughly outstanding from welcome to ambiance to service and the food itself. Well done all.

This was our second 4-night stay and we were equally pleased on both occasions. I could write a detailed essay listing every feature of the hotel but the most important things to us were: the excellent food at breakfast and dinner; the friendliness and helpfulness of staff and, essentially, those factors which make for a comfortable stay for a disabled person, viz the covered parking with a reserved Blue Badge space near easy access to spacious Room 3 with its accessible shower, etc. This hotel offers the best combination for our specific needs of any of the many hotels we stay at. We shall, of course, return as often as we can.

No availability for an overnight stay on night ( stayed in a B and B nearby), had dinner here. Very warm welcome from a lovely young man who looked after us very well. The food we had was superb - the best leek/potato soup ever, lamb rump cooked to perfection, linguine very tasty and hearty! A wonderful evening.

Really good hotel in a great location for restaurants and the railway station. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much. Lovely comfortable bed in a well equipped room. Great food in the restaurant .We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic spur of the moment booking which left us wanting to extend our stay. Lovely court place room with quality comfy bed. Had a wonderful rest. Breakfast was superb and plentiful. Staff were amazing. Friendly and always attentive to needs. Lovely atmosphere in dining room as everyone chatted with staff. Highly recommended. Good position in town centre. Unfortunately they were fully booked the following night so we couldn't stay longer!

The location of the hotel is good for walking to shopping, tourist sites, and the train station (visitors should check out the day trips offered by Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways). The bedroom and the bathroom were a nice size; the bed was comfortable as well. The hot water for showers was plentiful. Breakfast was nice with hot and cold items from which to choose. The staff were very helpful and gave us great tips for things to do while we stayed in Porthmadog for two nights. It was nice that the hotel has a car park for a good number of cars. Our room faced the street and the traffic or pedestrians talking loudly could be a little noisy once in awhile (didn't bother us much) but there are many rooms in the hotel that do not face the street and are likely much quieter if that's important for future customers.

I have stayed here before so I knew the high quality of the staff and service and also of the food in the restaurant. A small slip up in the restaurant was very quickly remedied professionally. The bedrooms in the annex are slightly more prone to noise than those in the main building, so I'll express my preference next time I stay there.

My husband and I stayed at the lovely Porthmadog for a week. We weren't really planning on coming here but after visiting a dreadful pub in the area, the only bad one, we retreated here for a drink and found it an absolute haven, phew! We received such a warm, friendly welcome and the bar was stylish, super clean and really fresh and comfortable with a good choice of beers. Although we didn't stay here and only came in for a drink I had a little peep around and spotted a lovely garden area and dear little courtyard rooms with benches under a covered area so would more than happily stay here.
