Pushkar Lake Palace

Fantastic position overlooking the lake nice terrace with terrific sunset views across to the bathing ghats. We were allocated an upper floor room with great views from the external balcony. Ground floor rooms probably only have garden views so avoid if so? Bathroom v dated and room generally could use a bit of an update. Aircon unit looked ancient but luckily didn’t need it. Friendly staff, quite limited breakfast included and we ate out at the lovely Sunset Cafe a few mins away. Brilliant food and v reasonably priced but note Pushkar is a dry city with no alcohol and only vegetarian food! Try a walk through the old town and visit the Brahmin temple (only one in the world) and marvel at the spiritual feel of the lake and its pilgrims. Would rate this really as 3 star max hotel but the views take it to 4 star.

The hotel is terrible...no tea in the room, bathrooms are with defective fittings, senior citizen do not feel secure, there is no way to communicate with reception no phone or call bell no food... Just a Dharam shall! 7000/- per night!!!##$$

Had room 301 on the corner of the hotel overlooking the lake and the ghat. Great views especially at sunset. The room was tiny but had a balcony (The fence didn’t look too strong!) and a bathroom. I thought the food was great. It was served buffet style so I was able to choose a range of dishes that I wouldn’t have tried from an a la carte menu. It’s all vegetarian food- and no alcohol but that was true across the whole town. Staff, despite language issues, were really helpful and friendly.
