Riu Republica in Punta Cana caters to the young (18-35 years old), drunk, loud crowd. I highly do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone over 40!

È arrivato alla fine di dicembre. Era un po' incerto su cosa aspettarmi a causa di tutte le diverse recensioni. Ci siamo davvero divertiti moltissimo! L'albergo in sé è un po' malandato in alcune zone, ma la manutenzione dei giardini è sorprendente. Il resort in sé è enorme, è come un campus universitario con molti edifici diversi. Tonnellate di bar e piscine. Se vuoi una piscina per le feste, ce l'hanno. Se vuoi una piscina tranquilla, hanno anche quella. Le bevande e il cibo andavano bene. Siamo già stati in un resort Riu, quindi è abbastanza simile sotto ogni aspetto. Sicuramente un viaggio fantastico considerando il prezzo!

Dove iniziare? Le camere sono datate.
Le opzioni alimentari erano le stesse per 4 giorni consecutivi. Il ristorante offre letteralmente la stessa cosa del buffet.
Molte persone ubriache. Personalmente non penso che questo sia 5 partenze al massimo basso 4. Sono andato al Bahia Ambar con una qualità complessivamente migliore. La spiaggia era decente qui, la mia doccia non aveva acqua calda per 2 giorni. La toilette funzionava da giorni. È letteralmente un resort per feste in cui non vieni con grandi aspettative, paghi per quello che ottieni.

I will say this I have more pros than cons about the RIU republica it was what it was it was a good bang for your buck, nice beach, plenty of pools, great and attentive staff, plenty of bars and night life. The food was average to ok but i was expecting that and the rooms were outdated but I was expecting that too but they were very clean. I wish the pillows bigger and more variety of music but those things wouldnt be a deal breaker. The biggest hiccup and complaint in our trip was we were unaware that it college spring break, so we’re talking 100’s of kids between 18-22 with the majority being being loud a d obnoxious and invasive. Maybe for the future designated areas or hours for older guest to enjoy themselves as well. But overall it gets a 6/10 from very affordable and will get the job done as long as you dont go during spring break but besides that its ok.

Did not like how outdated the room was they did not provide tags towels were always dingy but overall I had a great experience at the hotel itself

I liked the convenience of pretty much all the amenities in an easily accessible area. The staff was super fun and friendly. The food was decent but I wasn't expecting anything spectacular anyways.

The property has really been neglected over the last couple years. No filtered water or working ice machines. No phone in the rooms and no cable TV or smart TV to even stream tv. The beds are terrible. The pillows we tiny and seemed to be filled with cotton balls. Keys kept not working to get in the room and would have to walk all the way to lobby to get reset. I got sick from one of the restaurants and was sick for most of the trip. I would suggest a different resort.

Truly disappointing that RIU states 24/7 all inclusive. When the resort did not offer any room service at all. If your mini fridge ran out of drinks the staff only supplied more soda & water to it between 9am-10pm. If you were hungry after the buffet/dinner was closed the only option was to go to the Sports Bar for Nachos, Hot Dogs or Burgers. You had to search for staff to refill the cheese because it was out; the drunk patrons from the disco and sports bar are grabbing hot dogs with their bare hands. And let's not discuss all of the flies around the open food at the buffets. Most of the food served looked overcooked and dried out even though it was swimming in sauces. None of the ice machines on the floors worked if you wanted ice in your room. Then the 1st come 1st serve Steakhouse tells you that you have to be in line by 6pm to get a ticket in order to eat at their non-reservation needed area. Make it make sense.

The AC in my room did not work properly throughout my entire stay. I talked to the front desk multiple times requesting resolution to no avail. This made for sleepless nights which impacted the overall quality of my stay at the resort.
