We were very lucky to have planned our trip with Travel Guru in Thimphu. This meant we were able to stay in the very nice resort in Phunaka. Everything was excellent, very nice, puristic decor and very, very good food. Unfortunately too short. Next time we will plan at least 2-3 days. The hotel is beautifully situated in the forest. Thank you

U will be fallen in love once you enteted this property, nestled between pine forest traditional modern interior so relaxed peaceful away from Punakha town. Love the reception area, staffs are polite & humble, dinner & breakfast have multiple choices,quality of food is high in standard indian continental Bhutanese cuisine available, ordering some food may takes a lot of time what we experience other than this everything is cool, At evening staffs will perform local folk dance at the courtyard for all the guests. Highly recommend this resort when you are in Punakha Note: Jet spray is not attached

We stayed at Dhensa resort on 13th may 2024. After a full day of travel from Thimpu, halt at Dochula pass and sight seeing in and around Punakha, it was a heavenly place to land in. We are senior citizens and we diddnt mind the no of stairs. As a matter of fact it was good exercise after a buffet dinner. The evening Bhutanese cultural event was a good relief to a packed day of sight seeing. The rooms , the setting and location of the resort , the facilities were 10 on ten. More so when we were told that the resort was over 10 years old !! Apparently the maintenance is top class as it looks like a brand new property.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dhensa, and it was truly a dream vacation resort. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the resort's stunning natural surroundings. The accommodations were luxurious and comfortable, the food was absolutely delicious. A special shout-out to the chef(Suraj) for creating delicious meals, and being so warm and welcoming.

Stayed at the hotel with family in august and we absolutely loved the place. Charming hotel with an excellent Spa and the food was amazing. A good mix of local, continental & Indian. The breakfast spread was super, staff was helpful & polite. The view from our villas was superb. Would highly recommend this hotel

Excellent hospitality, beautiful rooms with a view and amazing amazing food. Had only Bhutanese food and it was so delicious .Chef Suraj and his entire team are just too good. They gave us suggestions on our choices which were well appreciated.

Beautiful location - atop a hill looking over the city and the river. Dhensa is 'text-book minimalistic' architectural marvel. Straight lines - tall white walls, wood and glass monotone furnitures, stone/slate stairs. Combine that with great food, and exceptional SPA facility.

We stayed at Dhensa for 2 nights and I would highly recommend it. It's a beautiful hotel in an amazing setting which offers good food and has a friendly staff. Our multi generational family all loved it and we would recommend to stay here while in the area.

Falling short of words to describe the experience here Simple yet elegant Comfortable Lovely view from the room Food was just awesome Compliments to the chef and the F and B manager ! Breakfast and dinner both had an elaborate spread for everyone The balcony outside the room made all the difference at night too...
