Le Méridien Thimphu

wow! what a hotel! what a service! Besides the fact that the hotel is very comfortable, luxurious, and very well located in Thimpu, the level of service is something we have never experienced! They made us feel as we are really welcome in the most personal way. We would especially like to mention from the food and bevrage Deki Yangden mona yangki tshering yangzo dampai tashi lhaden choki and deki teshomo from the reception. They truly made the whole difference in our trip. we felt so so welcomed. Hope to visit again soon.

The hotel has an amazing location in the city center. The buffet breakfast very good and the lounge food and beverages were a delight for us. Room was spacious and with mountain view. Great atmosphere and fabulous associates welcomed us. Many thanks to Ngawang Choden, front desk manager, for the beautiful gift she presented to me. Also thanks to Karma Choki and all the associates that made our nights specially unforgettable: the chef Serven and Mon Maya, Acharja, Amrita Rai and Kezang Bida who exceeded our expectations with their love and kindness.

The front desk team is top-notch, handling check-ins and check-outs with a smile that's as efficient as it is welcoming. A slight sound complain warranted a daily ""thou shall hast a shift if still there be a thump" I've got to hand it to the Housekeeping team for their attention to detail. On the second evening of my stay, I came back to my room to find a mysterious box with a sweet note on my bed. What's more, they managed to keep the linens spotless without changing them, which made my stay rash-free, especially considering my sensitive skin. The restaurant crew is not just about serving food; they're all about serving up genuine smiles and dishing out fantastic travel recommendations. To top it off, on the second-to-last day of my stay, they surprised me with a farewell cake. It was such a nice touch. I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional service your team provided. Thanks Kezang, Roshni, Ngawang, Nim & Tshering, all the pips in the photos for making my stay so memorable!

The Hotel is centrally located near the shopping area of Thimpu. The food served at the restaurant is excellent and authentic. The chef was very kind to prepare some of their local delicacy. The rooms are are very spacious and clean. Would like to thank the staff for their immediate response for issues we faced in the bathroom and it was fixed immediately.

The hotel is in the center of town and very convenient. Marriott provided a very nice status upgrade which was appreciated. The room and bathroom are big and comfortable. The staff were polite, professional and kind. Both restaurants served wonderful food and had great crews of servers. Nice place to stay in the big city of Thimphu.

All the working staff is excellent very smiling always specially Deki Yangden was very helpfull jolly I don't remember the names of others are also good will love to Visit Le meridian Thimpu again food is verygood ovver here i love Bhutan one more in Front office Deki Tshomo who is vvery ggood

Late evening was a special day for me . I was there with my friends for dinner which was already paid in advance Needless to say the least we were expecting was a good spread - what was promised ag the time of making Payment . To our horror it was a set menu which was 25%of a buffet menu . When we started protesting the restaurant manager suggested they we take Ala Carte but the dishes like broccoli which we wanted was not available/ purposely not made available . Goodness served after an hour . Starters were served after main course . Main course was served in instalments one dish coming 15 mins after another . They were reluctant to serve desserts after taking full money / payment in advance . 2 desserts were given which was pathetic/ awful to say the least . Service was very ordinary as a hotel function was going on one level below and there was only 1 lady to serve us which was taking time . We wanted to finish early dinner and went at 8 pm / but was served at 915 pm The hotel should have the courtesy to inform guests in advance about change in dinner plans / compensate guests for non service when they charge so so much .

The hotel is located in the heart of town not as magical as their river front hotel location in Paro, but the rooms and service make up for all that. The rooms are comfortable, spotless and nice. The staff is excellent. They are efficient, friendly and courteous and attentive. The food is great too. The fitness centre is small and the pool is down yet another level which we didn’t go down to but I’m sure it’ll have its view. The central location allows for easy walks through the town should one wish to. All in all a really nice and pleasant stay.

Very nice and friendly place . All the staff are helpful and polite . Every one of them goes out of the way to make our stay memorable . Special mention for always smiling Ms Karma at the reception ,Mona and Pema at the restaurant . The menu was full of variety, even for vegetarians like us . Altogether a nice ,neat and well managed place .
