I love the staff here. The grounds are clean and updated, the pools blue and perfect temperature, the foods good. All of that being said, its the staff that makes the place special. Max welcomes you with a smile and is the best at hetting fast, safe transportation (he's Max #1). Elizabeth is so kind and so beautiful. She will get your room, always say hello and help you in any way she can. Then go have a drink with Isabella. Shes young, witty and fun. I LOVE her. If you can, splurge on a room with the rooftop pool and bar. Before swimming in a indoor pool with open view of the surrounding area and breeze/sunshine coming through. However, before you do, stop for a salmon sandwich (delicious!!) and a drink with Sophia and Enrique. They are an awesome team and keep a chill vibe with flowing drinks and food on a beautiful rooftop lounge. Please, if you go, tell them Jessica says hi. I cant wait to go back. Im sure I forgot some great staff and for that im sorry. I would 10/10 recommend. I used to stay at Hyatt Ziva, but I have a new favorite!

I’m not a 5 star guy, and I don’t need a 5 start experience to be happy, but this place was disappointing. The chaise lounge in our room was filthy. The bars reused plastic glasses that always seemed to have something dirty floating in it, or stuck to the glass. The food, except for the Italian restaurant was average at best. This was our fourth Mexico all inclusive resort, and the most disappointing. In the past I’ve always felt welcomed and somewhat special, but not here. I’m an English speaker and understand very little Spanish. I also understand that I’m in Mexico, but when making announcements at the pool or in the bar for karaoke, everything was in Spanish. I would venture to guess that almost half or more of your guest speak English. It may get be nice to have someone who speaks both English and Spanish making those announcements. Just disappointed.

The property itself is clean and comfortable. Does need elevator update and swim area however the staff was so nice and accomodating they made up for any flaws.

Servers at the buffet, restaurant and pool area were excellent.
The constant and unavoidable noise from "fun" staff which were talking/yelling into their microphone during the day was painful. You could not find peace or relaxation anywhere on the property. The objective is clearly to cater to one type of experience, which was the continual loud stimulation of music and mic noise. This was disappointing.
The evening entertainment also continued quite late into the evening and whether you wanted to be there or not, you were hearing it. This even included a wedding outdoors, which I will never understand. Why would I want to attend (either physically because it was held in the main area pool) or just by not being able to avoid the excessive noise from it from the guest rooms - I found this to be quite unreal.
Then there was the save the lounge chair game, because of the lack of chairs and space...I find this to be low brow stuff and not worth the effort.

Limited direct sun in pool area as property faces north. Direct sun on roof patio but at an additional cost if $700pesos per person/day. VERY unsafe beach - high violent surf and steep grade on beach with wicked undertow. Food is awful and I’m not a picky eater - caters primarily to Mexican tastes. Hotel and rooms very nice and very clean

The Grand Park Royal was an acceptional resort. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the entertainment was amazing.
The staff was interactive, polite and helpful. It was very obvious they were there to ensure the guests were happy.
The food was alway fresh and creative, from taste to display.
There was entertainment off and on all day for a mix of people from young to older, and from interactive to entertaining. Just to mention a few crafts, music, water, and a variety of shows.
I would recommend this resort anytime!!!
