Morasol Suites

I've stayed next door at Marina suites and often thought that Morosol looks very welcoming and clean! Small and friendly! So I booked a stay with friends, this year at Morosol and the price is better than Marina suites too.... so why not! The first thing we noticed is the cleanliness. Throughout the hotel is so clean. The staff are helpful and nothing is too much trouble . There is no entertainment, which may bother some but not us....we went out to some of the many fantastic bars and restaurants most evenings. El rinconcito, just over the road is amazing (see my other review). I.love puerto rico. Marina suites and The morosol ate hard to beat. The location, unlike many hotels, is flat, level and easy to access. Right on the Marina, overlooking boats and the sea, it's perfect. The pool is so inviting and we enjoyed it everyday. It wasn't too cold either! Wear sunscreen .... properly! It gets hot and the uv rays are strong even when it is cooler. Beds are comfy. Rooms spacious. All you need for self catering is available . Towels for the pool beds are available to hire with a deposit which is refundable. My only regret is that I forgot to buy one when I left, as they are available to buy also. They were great. I hope to return and buy one, one day ! Water is available to top up your water bottle in reception....so think of the environment and take tour own bottle! I recommend the lineas bluebird ferry. Any of their trips are great but you cannot visit GC without going to Puerto Mogan . It's a must! Get the local bus to Maspalomas and meloneras and see the dunes....another must. Local transport is very reliable, cheap and so easy! I love Gran canaria. I have holidayed there for decades and Will continue to do so! Enjoy. Christine Room.121. 1-8april.24

Expected 4* rooms as per website but our room on 3rd floor was dated and tired and I would say no better than 2*. See photos, stained walls/ceilings, dated smelly bathroom/dirty furniture. The marketing pictures do not show the main costal road running right behind the complex albeit above the complex but it was noisy especially at night or sitting by the pool with buses/coaches etc thundering by. The pool area is like sitting in the car park, again traffic passing you by. The pool bar is only open 12-4.30pm and despite the fact there is another full bar in reception area it was never open and the area lacking any a**osphere. Please open the bars longer, we want to have fun, we are on holiday! Management missing a trick with clients having to leave site to get drink and food as they only offer breakfast and at 15euros pp few guests have it - too expensive. We enjoyed our boat trips from the harbour & location good for this reason but we wouldn’t return for above reasons although plenty do seem to return year after year.

We visited Morasol Suites for the 4th time at the end of April / early May. The location of the property is excellent. With great views over the marina, and shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance. The property is clean and well looked after. This time we had breakfast included in the rate. The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and very tasty. We really enjoyed the new balcony furniture. The seats were very comfortable. What really sets this hotel apart though is the staff. They are all so genuinely friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Absolutely love visiting Morasol. In fact we have just booked our next visit. Can't wait!

Our 8th visit and again didn't disappoint As always friendly staff. Lovely apar**ents we were lucky to have one of the refurbished ones which continues to have all mod cons and a fantastic shower Actually found comfortable patio furniture for the balcony

We stayed in marina suits twice before and each night we walked past saying it looks lush in there , so booked to stay eventually !!!!!!! We were so pleased this hotel is so friendly and relaxed , We did upgrade to the select adult area only because of a television in the bedroom which just added to the chill out a**osphere this hotel offers . Breakfast ? we found it brilliant and everything and more than required , Room So much room and space and everything you need great shower , Pool absolutely spot on, easy access and loads of beds. pool bar great with good reasonable priced food and drink , Staff Absolutely top class from reception to maintenance so friendly, special shout out for Christina thank you for accommodating all our needs and look forward to booking through you for next year . location perfect for us as flat and easy distance of all we need. Overall great holiday and so much better than next door , love it all and can not wait for our next visit Paul & Vanessa O'Rourke

The best hotel!! This year will be our third time staying! We absolutely love it here! It’s the perfect location, far enough away from the main area that it’s quiet on an evening but close enough to walk to everywhere you need. Also perfect location for boat trips! Lots of great restaurants and shops nearby! Staff are so helpful and polite, food at the pool bar is amazing, good deals on happy hour, comfortable beds, clean rooms, good room facilities, towels available to hire, water available to buy from reception to save carrying from shops, iron available from reception, quick lifts, powerful shower, pool is amazing, adults only bit nice for a break away! All in all 5* and we return time and time again! This year we are visiting with our baby as we know exactly what we’re getting and know we will be comfortable and have everything we need!

What a fantastic holiday we had and an amazing stay at the Morasol Suites Hotel. The hotel is clean and spacious. Awesome pool plus jacuzzis with a life guard from 10am-6pm. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food is gorgeous especially the breakfast! There is a supermarket very close by which has absolutely everything you’d need as well as a Spar near the beach. Hotel pool bar is great serving drinks & food (happy hour is 12-1pm). You can send post cards from reception. Our balcony overlooked the harbour and we loved boat spotting. Boat tours leave from very close by too, taking you to Anfi Beach or Mogán (Little Venice) - a stunning place with a market on Fridays. So many places to eat nearby - our fave was El Gaitero. We cannot say enough how kind the hotel staff are - we are so grateful to them for making our family holiday special! It was my husband’s 50th and they placed a bottle of wine and lovely letter for us to return to on the day. Thank you!

Stayed here for 2 weeks in a 1 bedroom suite overlooking the marina. We would absolutely recommend this hotel for all the positives but there are a couple of improvements we suggested that would make a future 5 star review. Pros; size of suite/bedroom/balcony and the facilities overall were excellent. Definitely worth having a view especially for the lovely sunsets. The location of the hotel is ideal and on the flattest ***** of this hilly resort. Restaurants and supermarkets are a short walk away but even the longer walk to the Mall is not that far. The pool, lovely sun terrace and loungers were all of a high standard. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating when spoken to. The welcome we received from David and explanation of the facilities was the best we have experienced. The cleaners also worked tirelessly daily to maintain the rooms. The prices for extending your stay on pick up day were also extremely reasonable and the reception team are keen to accommodate this. Cons; only a couple, there is an excellent jacuzzi and fountain on the sun terrace which was ideal for cooling off however this was faulty on a few days especially the fountain which hardly worked at all the first week. The technical staff did their best to maintain the jacuzzi but it appears to need a full overhaul. The sun terrace is beautiful, relaxing and provides lovely views but would benefit from being an adults only area in our experience. There is a large pool and kids pool at the hotel but despite this numerous families with young children wanted to use the jacuzzi as a play pool. Kids were swinging from the fountain in the jacuzzi and this most likely contributed to it being out of order repeatedly. Also the pool hours are only from 10am-6pm when most other hotels we have stayed at were 8am-8pm. Overall one of the best 4 star hotels we have experienced.

Fabulous place, the location on the outskirts of Puerto Rico was perfect and the view overlooking the harbour is stunning. Super friendly staff and very respectful even when we had received some complaints from other guests for being a bit noisy one night! The free filtered water is a great touch!
