Apartamentos Bahía Playa

The accomodation in these apartments of Puerto de la Cruz could not be better. We stayed 8 nights and we would have stayed much longer if possible. Starting with the receptionist Daniel who was very accomodating with our requests, he checked us in a very nice apartment, he was nice, efficient and very kind. The apartment had a very nice view with terrace, was well mantained, clean and had all the facilities we needed. Following with the restaurant staff who took well care of us throghout our stay. Aday and Jessica were very nice and efficient taking into account how busy they were all the time. The food was nice, with good variety every day for breakfast and dinner. I appreciatte the fact they were changing the dinner menu every day so for a long stay it would not be boring. We specially liked the salads station as we love salads. About the locations, it is very well located next to playa jardin, literally just in front, with bars and supermarkets nearby and the centre just a 10 minutes walk away. We absolutely loved it and we will be back next year! Thank you!

We stayed in one of 3 apartments hosted by Thomas E . This guy is great , super reliable and very responsive. The apartment s are a bit dated. The Location is absolutely stand out , sea views , near beach , easy to walk into De La Cruz . WiFi was very good . TV has no English channels. Parking is difficult in the area but not impossible. I’d stay here again because of Thomas and because of the location.

It was really below expectations. Arrived to the hotel and the woman working at the reception was extremely unfriendly (the rest of the staff was really nice). I wanted to see the room first before I pay for it to avoid moving all of the suitcases from one room to another in case anything was wrong with the room. The receptionist said I cant see it because there is nobody to show me the room...she could have given me the key and I would check it myself...Came to the room with all the bags and the room was disgusting and smelt horrible. It was cleaned but really badly...trash in the bathroom, old soap stains on the bathtub, shaved hair in the sink, floor not swept, the spoons in the kitchen dirty, furniture in the bathroom ruined, some towels wrinkly so you are not quite sure if they are clean or not, towels probably 20 years old or more, the towels and bed linen in bad shape, tiles cracked, the terrace ful of dust, chairs on terrace dirty&dusty, although its a huge terrace with quite a good view, there are no loungers (just a plastic table with 4 chairs) and no shade ...not a cosy place. We were given the room on the second floor looking at the banana garden....the view was ok but it was noisy because it was so close to the street snd there was a garage door that kept making horrible noises al the time and the kids were scared when it was time to sleep. I complained to the receptionist about the smell of the room (moist and sewer) and the state of it but she brushed me off with 'it always smells like that because we are close to the sea'...????...and that all the rooms are cleaned...she was really unkind. She did say someone will come to clean and check the smell but nobody came...then my husband went to complain again and she took him more seriously. The next day the cleaning lady came and she really cleaned it well and the bad smell 'from the sea' was also gone. The pools are great, 2 kids pools with warm water around 23 degrees and one big pool with really really warm water around 28 degrees (guessing)... that's really an advantage if you come in the colder months. The food is amazing! I read bad comments about the food but it's really good. The dinners are incredible! So much choice in everything-meat, side dishes, salads.., the best salads, great fresh vegetables and salads made with a lot of imagination-combination of fruit and veggies that really go well together, the dressings are awesome, lots of choices if you are vegetarian, great deserts... Location perfect, close to the beach and the park, some nice restaurants with latin American feel and music (dancing) in the corner, shop in the corner. So even though the rooms are very dated and we had bad luck with not being clean, the food and the pools make it a good value for money. Maybe I wouldn't be so disappointed if I hadn't just come from the south of the island where the hotels and the whole area has a more upscale and modern feel to it...

Según entré pensé ,donde me he metido, el Hall es oscuro y no me gustó nada me dio hasta miedito. luego fuimos a la recepción para realizar el check-in y la señorita que nos atendió muy amable muy educada. Luego ya nos dieron la habitación muy limpia y muy bien, lo único que no me gustó es que había una toalla para dos personas eso hay que cambiarlo porque si la habitación es para dos cada uno tiene que tener sus toallas. La comida bien, precio calidad acorde. El servicio del comedor exceptuando un señor mayor de la plancha muy bien el señor muy antipático de resto mi opinión es bastante favorable. La verdad es que es un sitio bastante tranquilo y pudimos descansar bastante bien cuando dejamos la habitación ya bajamos a recepción entregamos la llave y nos atendió Daniel muy amablemente muy educado en todo momento por lo tanto la experiencia ha sido buena siempre adecuándonos a la calidad precio lo único que es deberían de mejorar es la entrada porque la entrada dice mucho da una primera impresión equivocada y errónea además había un traje del carnaval de alguna candidata a reina y la verdad es que a mí personalmente me pareció aquello fuera de lugar , bajo en mi opinión yo lo quitaría de allí esta acumulando polvo y da muy mala impresión del sitio. Y si lo tengo no lo tengo como un trasto como si aquello fuese un trastero para dejar las cosas lo pondría y lo motivaría porque de verdad es que aquello parece un trastero la fuente está muy descuidada.

Llevo 2 días en el hotel. Las habitaciones están limpias, la situación muy buena. Los recepcionistas muy amables El servicio de restaurante es pésimo. La comida es malísima. El primer día en la cena fui probando hasta encontrar algo bueno. Al final, opte por una chuleta de cerdo que no habías quien se la comiera de dura. El helado de chocolate, horrible de malo que está. En el desayuno, al echar agua caliente para hacer un té, salió directamente marrón (sin haber echado el sobre de té). Y de la máquina de los zumos, en algunos solo salía agua con color, aunque no se que es mejor porque es pura azúcar. En la cena siguiente, vista la experiencia anterior, opte por gazpacho de sandia, filete de ternera a la plancha y lechuga. Los recipientes para los gazpachos estaban en una cubitera grande con hielo y agua. Si sacaba uno para servirlo, se caigan los otros. Pedí ayuda a una persona que salía de la cocina, no dudo en meter los dedos (bastantes sucios, supongo que estaba cocinando) en la boca de los recipientes de los gazpachos para colocarlos. Al final se cayeron, y entro agua (que tampoco estaba muy limpia, supongo que se habían caído más veces y se había salido parte del gazpacho) en ellos. Allí se quedaron los gazpachos, mezclados con el agua sucia para que lo comieran otras personas. El filete estaba bueno, pero la lechuga..... estaba llena de pulgones, se lo dije a un camarero, pero hasta que no lo consulto con el cocinero, no la retiró. Y la botella de vino que habíamos pedido el día anterior sirviéndonos solo una copa, estaba casi vacía. Por suerte, el camarero (que era el mismo de la noche anterior), se había dado cuenta antes de traerla a las mesa, nos pidió disculpas y nos pidió una nueva. Hay que añadir la telarañas, no de un día, con sus huéspedes. Un desastre!!!

Tienen dos edificios de apartamentos, se mezclan propietarios y alquilados. La recepción mejorable, la limpieza deplorable, el equipamiento mínimo, el mantenimiento inexistente. Las piscinas muy buenas aunque el agua no estaba muy calentada como dice la propaganda. Está bien situado, el aparcamiento es de pago, en la calle no es fácil. Alrededor hay tiendas y bares, restaurantes serios no. No muy lejos se oye un gallo cantar a todas horas del día. Yo recomiendo que cualquier cosa que necesiten para su comodidad lo pidan en la recepción.
