Overall, wasn't expecting much to be fair from reading previous reviews and pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very central and easy to get to the marina and a lovely square with some very good restaurants/entertainment. I had room 409 and the sump pump from the rooftop hotel woke me up at 06:30 every morning, but changed to another room with no problem. It was clean, no bed bugs I'm happy to report! (unlike a guest who was on the coach back to the airport who had bedbugs so bad their party of 7 had to find an air BnB). The coach transfer was long, especially going back - an hour going round and round Porto De La Cruz!! - make sure you visit the restroom before boarding! The very small fridge provided was cold enough to keep ice in the small compartment so was very happy. I only had breakfast 2 times of the week I was there and it was ample and plenty fresh and canned fruit, yogurt, eggs (different style every day) and the usual continental stuffs. The "juice" dispenser had real orange juice so was very pleasantly surprised.

There's a lot to like about the 4dreams Hotel in Puerto de la Cruz. The reception staff are friendly and check in is quick and painless and the reception area is clean and tidy with comfortable furniture. We had a room on the second floor with a small balcony overlooking the pedestrian street to the front of the hotel and one thing to note about rooms at the front of the hotel is that they overlook a school. We only heard the children on the first day of our holiday because they went on Easter break afterwards, but it's something to bear in mind because they're obviously quite noisy when they're out playing on the yard. Our room was perfectly adequate - it was clean, with comfortable beds, enough storage for clothes and a clean bathroom with a good hairdryer, enough towels (changed daily if you want), some free toiletries and always plenty of hot water - I've definitely stayed in worse when I've been travelling. It could be a bit noisy into the early hours and again in the morning when there are deliveries being made to other properties on the street but overall I slept pretty well during our stay. The rooftop area is great if you want to sunbathe, relax and read, although I found the pool too cold to use at this time of the year - there were quite a few sun loungers and parasols for guests to use but you do need your own towels. Breakfast was a fairly simple affair, but fine for the price paid. There was a daily choice of cold meats, cheeses, fresh rolls, sliced bread for toast, juice, fruit, bacon, eggs, pastries, cereals, milk/plant milk, yogurts and cake. The coffee was not great however and there did seem to be recurring problems with the coffee machine so I switched to the PG Tips on offer which was fine. The old town area of Puerto de la Cruz is really lovely. Plenty of good restaurants, bars and cafes, nice places to sit on the shade and people watch and it is kept very clean and tidy on a daily basis - I wish it was like that back at home! If we ever return to Tenerife, I would return to this hotel as it offers very good value for money.

A simple cheap hotel located centrally in the middle of town. Staff helpful, rooms cleaned daily. Met some lovely other solo travellers, and so close to bars and restaurants Always hot water, basic toiletries supplied, and hairdryers installed. Not all rooms have balconies, but I was lucky to bet one on 4th floor after emailing request! Great wee place, will return

This hotel is in a great location.However, the last two days and nights of our holiday were ruined due when a large, unruly group of teenage school children arrived. They were noisy beyond belief, rude, and running riot. Don't go to this hotel.

Encontramos una cucaracha en el baño. Nos nos reembolsan la noche que hemos pasado porque encontramos la cucaracha a las 12 de la noche y en ese momento no había hoteles disponibles en la zona. Una experiencia muy mala en general. Las fotos son mucho mejores de lo que el hotel es en realidad. Las paredes sucias como se ve en la foto. El personal muy educado pero el hotel cutre y con instalaciones muy viejas.

We have had a fantastic week at dreams. Food is ok …nothing to write home about but I find that with most hotels. I have come with my 3 children, 12,10 and 8. The entertainment team have been brilliant. Hugo “the Mexican” Mario and Barbara provide activities throughout the day that the kids have all really enjoyed. They remember all of their names and make them feel welcome. Lots of space around the pools and the rooms are clean, not massive but big enough. I would definitely come back.

arrived to tiny twin room complained staff sorted us to better room reception is nice rooms ok they are clean staff are helpfull and nice location is 100% great tv in room you only get news as for the rest of hotel its black needs totaly done up pool was green all round it 2 umbrellas for the whole poolside our room was next to an outdide smoking area so you could smell smoke all the time we lasted 5 days left booked into hotel round corner 4 dreams gave money back for nights we did not stay

Great place of a sidestreet, little cafe next door but location for shops restaurant etc great.

Un hotel muy céntrico y económico, está limpio y todo el personal es amable. Lo recomiendo para las personas que quieren pasar una noche en el centro del puerto de la cruz. También disfrute de la piscina

Wonderful staff, very helpful with excellent customer service. Clean bedrooms kitted out with basic essentials. Super little rooftop pool with outstanding views of Mt Teide. Central location. Great value.

Hotel excelentemente ubicado en el centro del Puerto de la Cruz. Personal muy amable y servicial. Las instalaciones antiguas y algo deterioradas. Mala insonorizacion, escuchandose coversaciones y ruidos procedentes de otras habitaciones. Aceptable para pasar dos o tres noches a muy buen precio.

A cheap hotel, very clean and friendly. It's a 3 star but 5 star due to the location as it is bang in the centre. Lovely rooftop pool with sunbeds. No tea/coffee in the room but the machine in reception was 70 cents for a delicious coffee...and I'm fussy with coffee. 🤣 Basic but fab. Would come again due to the location.
