Casa Fragata

I wish I could give them ten stars! My husband and I stayed for about 6 nights. We had the best time! The breakfast every morning was so delicious and homemade! We got expert advice from the two ladies running the hotel, which was so helpful! I really could go on and on about how great Casa Frigata is! Also, super close to scuba iguana - great for all my fellow scuba divers. So fantastic, will definitely be back

I have traveled to Galapagos a few times; this was my first time staying in Santa Cruz for a few days. Casa Fragata was an amazing place, very friendly and accommodating, my girlfriend has a medical issue with gluten, after advising the person in charge of the condition, they went out of their way to make sure she had a full breakfast free of gluten. I fully recommend Casa Fragata as one of the best in the area, not only for their service, but for their prices and location!

We booked a hotel on *******, and when we showed up, we were told that hotel had gone out of business a year ago. In its place was Casa Fragata. At first, we thought we'd head back toward the port, since this hotel is a few minutes' walk off the main street. The owner invited us in, offered the use of the wi-fi, and was very sympathetic to what had happened. That's when we knew we had to stay where we were. She offered us a gorgeous skylit room, cooked our daughter food, and gave us coffee. We wished we spent more than one night here. The place is a little far from Charles Darwin Avenue, but it made up for that in every other way. It was clean, the breakfast (included) was made to order, and the owner even called us an airport taxi for the next morning. Our daughter loved borrowing story books from the lending library. The ac was cold, the shower was hot, and the beds were comfy. It was also only about 5 minutes' walk from the Charles Darwin Station. I urge you to give this place a shot. Walk a couple extra minutes and be well taken care of.

Very nice and comfortable family hostel. Super friendly and hospital staff. Clean and tidy rooms. Good location close to the Darwin center and beach. We had a very nice stay with my wife for a few days. Would be good place to stay for a longer stay also.

This was one of the favourite places we've ever stayed in. The owner is a tour guide operator when she's not at the hotel and is an encyclopedia of information. Her niece runs the place when the owner is not there and is also extremely knowledgable and helpful. They went over and above to help up with activities and tours, even bookings on other Galapagos islands. When we had a tour, Elie walked us down to the wharf to make sure we got to the right place. The hotel is located on a really quiet street, about three blocks off the main beach *****. There is only a sign on the wall but it wasn't hard to find. The rooms are extremely clean. We stayed in # 9 which is on the top floor. It is a large space with a lounging room and a bedroom and of course a bathroom. The breakfasts are wonderful and plentiful. We couldn't eat it all. I highly recommend this spot.
