Hotel Acacia in Puerto Ayora turned out to be the perfect choice for our Santa Cruz Island stay. Nestled in an unbeatable location near the waterfront, you're just minutes from everything - which really matters after a long day of exploring. Our room offered lovely harbor views, and there's something special about watching the boats come and go while planning your next adventure. What really makes this place shine is the staff - they're the real deal. From the moment we arrived, their genuine warmth and local knowledge made all the difference. Need an early start? No problem - they'll have a breakfast bag ready for those 6 AM tour departures (trust me, this is a game-changer when you're half awake and rushing to catch a boat). The rooms are comfortable, clean, providing a welcoming retreat after days filled with exploration. The breakfast service is personal and delicious, offering a great start to each day. Hotel Acacia's combination of an ideal location, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding hospitality makes it a standout choice for anyone visiting Santa Cruz Island.

amazing ♡ the staff was so nice, service over the top! they bought vegan meals for my breakfast and even made me a vegan birthday cake ♡ the room was nice & clean, the bed was very comfortable, warm water. staff is amazing, help with every question and have so much tips for your stay to make sure you have the best holiday. Just 5 to 10 min walk to Darwin Center, a few min to the fish market (check it out, its amazing in the morning with all the pelicans and sea lions who beg for food there), lots of restaurants bars and shops. hope I can come back one day and will definitely stay there again!!

A very elegant and cozy hotel. The room was very nice and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff who served were happy. I cannot say enough about the level of service at the Hotel Acacia. From the front desk, to the morning breakfast and everything in between the service was impeccable. They did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The rooms were bright and clean and we had a view of the ocean. The full breakfast is perfect to get you going for the rest of the day, and the pool, though not large, was clean and inviting to relax after a day out and about. They heard that it was our friend's birthday, so the kitchen staff whipped a beautiful birthday plate and sang to her in the morning at breakfast as a surprise. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. They also suggested a new, sushi-fusion restaurant, Wasabi, that is not listed anywhere, that was delicious. It was so good, we went back all 3 nights we were there and celebrated our friend's birthday there as well.

What an exceptional property! This immaculately clean boutique hotel has approximately 12 rooms on 3 storeys with wide open, airy common spaces to relax. Someone is always sweeping or cleaning around the small complex. The reception staff are incredibly welcoming, hospitable and helpful without being intrusive and English is well spoken. They can arrange everything for you as well as being partnered with a helpful travel agency next door. They can also send out for laundry service. Beach towels are available. Rooms are well appointed with all the standard travel essentials and tastefully decorated with local art featuring Galapagos wildlife themes. There is also an evening turn down service. The in-room A/C works very well and a small fridge is included. The table service breakfast is fresh and delicious and portions are large. You start with juice, fruit and yogurt followed by a different themed egg dish as a main course. Location in Puerto Ayora is excellent: just a few convenient steps away from the restaurants, shops and piers on the main avenue but far enough away such that it is nice and quiet in the evening. Should we ever return to Santa Cruz, this is where we'd stay. Again.

We had an excellent stay at Acacia! The rooms were clean and spacious. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, right in the middle of town and a short walk from both the main port and the tortoise center. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious! It was definitely above our expectations, freshly cooked with a changing menu each day. They were even able to offer us a bagged breakfast to go on the morning of our departure since we had to catch an early ferry that left before breakfast was served. We had a great experience and definitely recommend!
