Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa

From the moment we arrived at the Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa in Protaras, Cyprus, we were blown away by the exceptional service and warm hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable—always friendly, attentive, and professional, especially Rangel (Head Waiter), Mia (Waitress), Vera and Glykera (Reception) and not forgetting Vasili (Head Chef). The hotel itself is stunning, with immaculate rooms, breathtaking sea views, and top-tier amenities and was exceptionally clean throughout. The food was consistently delicious. Truly a five-star getaway in every sense! Can't wait to return.

The hotel overall is nice, but there are 6 areas that really need improvement. • Food & Drinks: Breakfast is very good, but the Italian restaurant was disappointing. Most of the meats are mixed with beef and pork, which isn’t suitable for guests who can only eat one or neither. The dinner buffet also needs improvement. It would be great if crepes were offered in the evenings, and ice cream should always be kept in stock. I really enjoyed the pianist, and it would be helpful if there were clear signs showing what nationality night it is. • Pools, Sunbeds & Umbrellas: The adult pool should be one of the smaller ones, since there are more children than adults using the pools. Music around the pool would also create a nicer atmosphere. The sunbed policy needs to change – on paper it sounds fair, but in practice it doesn’t work. All the best spots are booked quickly, and often the people who reserved them don’t even use them, leaving prime sunbeds empty but unavailable. On top of that, the umbrellas are fixed in place. With six people, we only had two umbrellas, and since they were nailed down we couldn’t move them to share the shade properly. Umbrellas should be movable so families can adjust them as needed. • Kids Club: This was the most concerning part of the stay. Staff let my children run off, even though I had clearly written on the form that they were not allowed to leave. Also, children weren’t allowed to use the outdoor space at the kids club because staff said there was no adult outside. A better system would be to have one staff member supervising indoors and another outdoors so kids can enjoy both spaces safely. Overall, Sunrise Pearl is a nice hotel with some good features,better food choices, improved sunbed and umbrella arrangements, more entertainment at the pools, and a safer, more flexible kids club, it could be so much better.

Our 13th time at Sunrise Pearl-again fantastic holidays. Great location, very central, peaceful + relaxing atmosphere, spotlessly clean, allocated sun beds, dine around option (super), excellent food in all restaurants….But the best point is the staff!! Reception team, room cleaning, chiefs in the kitchen, restaurant and pool bar service, pool + sun beds guys-they are doing all a fantastic job! Thanks very much! We will return in September! This year we were looking for our holiday to be relaxing and recharging following a family bereavement. My husband and I had visited Protaras a few times with family and had latterly stayed at Sunrise Beach in 2009. We booked a suite with shared pool which was gorgeous. A large bedroom for my husband and I and a sofa bed for our 16 year old in a living area behind a sliding screen. Comfortable beds and plenty of storage space as well as Korres toiletries. Our mini fridge contents were free and water was replenished every day. The hotel is really generous with replenishment, be it toiletries, towels or tea bags. We had pool towels in our room for the swim up and pool towels for our booked sunbeds. One of the reasons we booked this was the reserved sunbeds, having previously experienced this at Sunrise Beach. You can choose from map and if your preference is not there first time, the pool team will do all they can to move you in the coming days. We were by the mixed pool not the adult pool and had our beds on the lovely grassed area. You just scan the QR for food and drinks and every day you are delivered iced towels and fruit. The only negative of our holiday was witnessing the horrible entitled behaviour of fellow guests to the polite, accommodating pool team. They were belittled, yelled at and and on one occasion a woman stormed off to see the manager as she couldn’t get the location she wanted. There was a group of 9 complaining that they could not immediately have beds by the pool together, a man yelling “this is more stressful than a day at work” and another “I will get whatever I want I know the owner” This broke the chilled vibe a bit. The gorgeous beach is a few steps away, so you have a choice of pools and sea. There isn’t the loud music of the other hotels but we really liked this. We went bed and breakfast as the restaurant scene is so good in Protaras. Great quality food, great choice of pretty much all you can think of. We had the evening buffet one night and it was fantastic. Excellent food and not at all canteen like. Lunch was either the pool bar or by our beds. My daughter and I had a really relaxing facial in the Elemis spa. We were able to book in the same treatment room and felt amazing afterwards. My husband and daughter tried paragliding and Jetskis about five mins walk along the beach The hotel cocktail bar Chia also comes highly recommended and our food was so good when we ate there. This really is a superb hotel and we will be back!

Hi My 8th time at this hotel. We just love it. From the welcome we receive in reception, to the staff in the restaurants, the pool bar and the way we are looked after by the staff in pool area. The staff are really attentive and they all remember that you have stayed there previously. The location is perfect, it is very central. Allocated sunbeds work well, and all the guests seem to appreciate that the hotel offers this service Cold face towels and fruit are delivered to sunbeds on a daily basis, and these little touches really do make a difference I cannot give this hotel enough praise
