Protaras Plaza Hotel

This small hotel is at an excellent location, it is only a minute away by foot to fig tree bay. The Staff are very friendly .It is very clean . The breakfast is quite adequate and the breakfast staff are very friendly and accommodating. We have stayed here before and with definitely stay here again.

We Stayed as a couple for 14 nights from Aug 20 and had a nice relaxing stay. We usually stay in apartments and was a little hesitant on staying in a hotel room but we were very lucky on been given room 323, which is on the 3rd floor corner which was soooo much bigger than other hotel room, it had a wrap around balcony with beautiful views of fig tree and *****, best of both worlds and a super breeze coming up from the bay to keep you cool in that extream heat,, its so much better so try to request this room or the one below, which I presume would be numbered 223, Hotel is nice and clean, excellent WiFi, even when sitting in Lá Pas bar, adjacent to the hotel, great spot,, Beds are extremely comfy which is soo important, cleaning I think was every single day, plenty of towels, toilet paper, bed changing, replenishing of tea and coffee every day, fridge is large enough to hold milk, sever bottles of water and a small amount of food at any given time, Location is excellent, 5 mins walk to fig tree, side exit,, Staff are all very nice and pleasant, willing to chat at any time, even if they pull a double shift, We went on a B&B basis but I only went once, it's basic but would keep you going, I had eggs on toast with bacon, not english, fruit and coffee, it was fine, If going to Protaras take a look at this hotel, its a strong contender to achieve a wonderful holiday as we did, so a big thank you to the hotel and all the staff,, Simon & Joanna

I stayed at this hotel for one week and I was half board. The hotel its self is very nice and not too busy so perfect for a quiet holiday, also close to the beach. The reception staff were very lovely especially Demetres who gave us amazing customer service our whole stay, and was very knowledgeable about the best places to go in the area so I highly recommend chatting to him! . On the other hand the lady manager Andrea came across very unwelcoming after a misunderstanding about what was included in the half board which was confusing at times. The other restaurant/bar staff were wonderful. We swapped dinner for lunch as the evening meals were not to our taste and there was not much variety . Breakfast and lunch was very tasty but the lunch menu doesn’t seem to change but no complaints towards the food as you could tell it was freshly prepared. Putting all that aside we still had a lovely holiday.

Returning for a second year to the protoras plaza ( 2 week) break this time woohoo . Super location for me as it’s at the start of the protoras *****, where all of the shops, restaurants, bars, start. This is the quieter end. Plus around the corner say 100metres away is the beautiful fig tree bay. It’s calm and glistening, turquoise waters just invite you right in. Here there are jet ski for hire, paddle boards, banana boat, huge tyre jobby that’s dragged behind a power boat at great speed! Power sailing ( parachute behind a boat) boat trips galore. Me after doing most of these now prefer to swim and snorkel explore what’s underneath the water. These are starfish, crabs, cornet fish, lizard fish, sponges, urchins, bottom feeding Barbie fish, some type of puffer looking fish, great for using a GoPro or underwater camera etc to create memories to take home with you. The hotel has an outdoor pool which is where I’m currently sat, there is also a toddlers small pool just behind. Plenty of sun beds and parasols, pool towels are given on a token ticket jobby from reception. There is a pool bar serving refreshments, this has table and chairs beside the pool. Rooms are good and reasonably spacious for what you need on a week or fortnight stay, housekeeping is daily as are towels. The shower is a walk in type with multiple outlets and the water always good and hot. The restaurant has something to offer all tastebuds, the staff are super friendly and helpful. They even have brown sauce upon request . The bar within the restaurant serves most wines, beers, spirits. Costs are reasonable , pint of cold keo and a large g and T I think was around 10 euro. There is an outside eating area also which I personally preferred. If you can’t tell from the above I truly enjoy my stay here and don’t want to return to the Uk, but alas work and mortgage responsibilities mean I must ‍♂️. So don’t delay book a stay here at the protoras plaza.

This 3* hotel is ideally located at the end of beautiful Fig Tree Bay, just a few minutes from the sandy beach which is gently sloping and ideal for children. Being a short walk from the bars means you get a peaceful night’s sleep. The bus stop to Ayia Napa and its water park is right outside the hotel. We were very happy with the sea-view room - 3rd floor has the best views. Good shower although the hot water was a bit erratic depending on the time of day! The ladies on reception were very helpful and friendly. The chef and his assistant were constantly checking the food . Ok there wasn’t a line of chefs cooking your food to order - it was a self service operation - but there were three or four choices of meat/fish each evening and the food was always hot. The star of the hotel was definitely Andreea, the Restaurant Manager - she was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her or her “boys”. If we were back in Protaras we’d definitely stay here again.
