Playa Linda Hotel

We planned to stay in progresso for 1 month we booked here at playa linda the hotel is infront of the beach the room that we booked we have the beach view its first day it’s amazing we r very excited few days later we want to leave 🤣 nothing to do there really hotel is decent but seriously the guys renting the chairs they all stay next to the hotel and they r so noisy you cant even rest plus all the dogs barking at night. We ended up canceling this hotel and moved to merida (grand hotel)and tulum (bahia principe) the hotel is not bad good location but progresso is only good for two days stay

It's a lovely small clean hotel right across from the beach. You can fall asleep listening to the ocean waves crashing if you pay for the premium rooms at the front. I stayed in both and loved the ocean front room for this reason but the interior hotel rooms were nice too. ***Note if you stay ocean front you will have the energy of the beach all day and sometimes into the wee hours of the night from the Malecon. I didn't mind because I could still be a part of everything listening to them. One thing I love about the Mexican people is they all seem to sing. I love listening to them, it makes me smile. It is immaculately clean and the staff are the sweetest and so gracious. We had a couple of storms while I stayed and it was cooler weather so I asked for a blanket for my bed. They put in the dryer to warm it up for me. SO SWEET. They're on the Malecon so shops are everywhere near by and there are 2 amazing food carts 20 feet outside the door. AMAZING.

Great place on the boardwalk of Progreso, Mexico. Friendly hotel staff there at all times. Rooms are small but sufficient and bathroom is decent size with a nice shower. Air conditioning was fantastic and quiet. The surprise of the room was that it came with a mini fridge. Very clean and the maids worked hard in keeping the sand at bay. I only gave it 4 stars because there are no hair dryers as all the previous guests had stolen them and the hotel did not restock. Also because they don't have a website. But the location on the boardwalk is why we picked this hotel. I recommend and i would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately they were sold out of the ocean front rooms when we booked Had we known the type of room we would never of booked this hotel. You can't tell from their photos, but the rooms not facing the street are like boxes. A window that looks into the actual hallway, one little window by the ceiling. We felt like we were sleeping in a box. One sheet, no blankets. No hot water the entire time we were there. But the worst was the music that was blasted in the hallway in the morning. (I'm assuming to get people up and out of bed.) The hotel was clean and it was a great location. I'd just make sure you know what you're getting into with the rooms. You can hear people coming and going all night.

The staff was excellent, especially Maria who was incredibly sweet and helpful. Room number one faces the beach with a large balcony and a kitchen. The sunlight pours in from the sliding glass doors. The bed was comfortable pillows not so much. Free parking behind the hotel across from the Crabster restaurant and it’s only two blocks to walk back to the hotel. Wi-Fi comes and goes at night but that’s typical of being by the beach plenty of hot water but when I say hot, be careful cause it’s hot. didn’t notice any noise from the malencon.

Had a room with a side balcony that overlooked the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. No problems with check in which was looked after by Maria. There are no elevators in this hotel which is 3 stories high. There is a fridge and microwave in the room, but bring your own plates and cutlery!. TV does not have any english channels. You need about 5 minutes before Hot water flows from the taps. Pillows are very hard (Hint-Bring your own pillows) see photos of the inside of a pillow! The location is very good, loud music from the beach on weekends, but overall, we enjoyed out stay

The hotel is located in front of the beach on the malecon. Our bedroom was on the first floor with blinds that allow people from the street to see inside the room by day from close and to see even more from far by night. At our arrival they were doing some construction right in front of the hotel. Even though it is not the hotel’s fault I’m still mentioning it cause waking up early in the morning by the noises of construction workers drilling the ground 10 meters from you bedroom window just doesn’t feel very pleasant nor relaxing when you’re in vacation. When I gently asked if they had any other rooms available. The girl at the counter whom was already not very friendly since our arrival At our arrival we were not greeted by her, no smile or salutation, she just waited there looking at me behind the counter to hear what I wanted. So when I asked her about the room she promptly said there’s nothing available and nothing she could do. So regarding the customer service and friendlyness could definitely be improved. I didn’t expected another room but being more welcoming and friendly would have been nice. On the opposite of what the hotel is showing on the website pictures, the room had no balcony and the hotel had no terrace either. When we ask for where was this terrace we saw on the pictures. The guy at the reception told us it has been a long time the terrace is not used for that anymore and so now they use it for solar panels. I felt tricked cause on the picture of the hotel they show you a beautiful terrace from where you can admire the sunset but unfortunately there is none. Also, there’s is 4 wifi in the hotel but you can’t rely on any of them. It works on and off and they told us to deal with it. After all, the hotel is in good condition, the room was good and comfortable. But some elements just doesn’t give you the nicest experience for the price you pay.

We were in room 2. The down sides are (a) NO Parking (b) NO Elevator! The room was enormous and spotless. The views of the malecón and ocean are incredible. The water was hot and good pressure in the shower. The AirCon was superb. The internet was extremely spotty. I suggest bringing your own pan, a can of cooking spray, and a good spatula. The pans provided were really beat up. The room was spotless and smelled really nice, especially for being right on the ocean. Front desk staff was very polite.

Pagamos más por el mejor cuarto del hotel y no nos decepciono! El cuarto tenia una hermosa vista a la playa. La cocina estaba muy equipado para hacer nuestras comidas asi que no gastamos nada en restaurantes. Hay un super Aki a 5 cuadras y una tienda con productos importados a 3. Habia dos televisions asi que yo podia ver una programa y mi esposa otra. Todo muy comodo. Quisiera volver de nuevo! No gustó · Los vendedores abajo hacen mucho ruido. Cuando estuvimos en el balcón pusé musica en la tele a todo volumen para tapar la musica y sonidos de la calle. Falta una olla en la cocina. Me prestaron una pero era muy chica, y iba a cocinar Espaghetti esa noche.
