Good place to stay

I had a recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Prince Albert Saskatchewan. Arrival 01-26-25, Departure 01-29-25. When I checked in the Front desk person did not go over any amenities with me. I will leave my review in point form. 1. When I first walked into the room decent/nice impression, then I started to notice things. 2. No remote for the TV (had to call the front desk). 3. The next morning I told, provided a list and showed pictures to the front desk of the issues and I was assured the issues would be corrected. 4. None of the issues were corrected. Even by the time I check out. Not sure if they were ever corrected. 5. For a Premier Hotel it is in poor condition only a year old. 6. Another guest was complaining about service on Tuesday morning when they were checking out. I know that I am not the first to reveal issues and won’t be the last. I spoke to a representative from ING (I do have a case #) and they said someone will call me and that did not happen. For a Premiere Hotel/Price with subpar accommodations, one should expect Premier service.

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn in Prince Albert was underwhelming in several key areas. To begin with, the staff’s attitude was less than ideal. They weren’t overtly unfriendly, but their aloof demeanor made the experience feel cold—only slightly warmer than the frigid outdoor temperatures. A bit more warmth and attentiveness would have gone a long way in creating a welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was disappointing, especially the cinnamon rolls, which are usually a highlight at other Holiday Inn locations. Here, they were hard and crunchy, falling short of the brand’s usual standard. The rest of the breakfast offerings were average at best. The most significant issue was the hotel’s internet and entertainment systems. Simulcasting features like Netflix and YouTube didn’t work at all, and the internet speed was so slow that I had to switch to my mobile data just to download a small app. In 2024, this level of connectivity is unacceptable for a modern hotel. To top it off, the condition of the room was already showing signs of neglect, with peeling wallpaper on the window sill—a surprising issue for what is supposed to be a newer property. Overall, this hotel feels like it’s in need of a serious reboot. Between the lackluster service, disappointing breakfast, poor internet functionality, and maintenance issues, it’s falling far below the standards one expects from the Holiday Inn brand.

This is a really nice new hotel and the staff were very kind. It was very unfortunate for that there are a crew of people working on the new rink next door that are loud and very disrespectful. We stayed on the 3rd floor for our childs hockey tournament. He is 8, we also have a 1 year old. These disrespectful people had horrific music cranked all afternoon until about midnight. With swearing and other stuff my 8 year had never heard. This crew of people, including a rory and gary, were screaming and fighting in the halls until about midnight. We, along with other families we know, called the front desk multiple times to complain. They kept talking to them and asking them to keep it down. The police showed up and were waiting for the hotel to give the go-ahead to kick them out for a long time. These people were extremely belligerent and our kids were kept up most of the night by them. The hotel was gracious enough to not have us pay for our room which we are thankful for. Long story short though, this crew that is working on this rink is still staying on the third floor in multiple rooms and until that rink is done, i would avoid this hotel.

This hotel is brand new and is a terrific place to stay. The room was very spacious and clean. All of the necessary amenities are provided including breakfast! Loved that the coffee machine in the room was a Keurig. It's location on edge of city makes for a nice quiet place to stay. Highly recommend!
