The Hotel at Mill Farm

Strange set up this hotel. Girl sitting on Reception with sports fur coat on. Got to Our room looked like someone had half done the bed and slept on other side. Recepirted this receptionist, her answer was cleaner has probably fell on it 😂😂😂 Breakfast in morning was advised no sausages available on breakfast 🤷‍♂️ Then fur coat reception from night before failed to show for morning shift 🤷‍♂️so night man and the cleaner had to step in. Could be a nice place with right paid staff At moment Fawlty towers springs to mind. Wardrobe doors need oiling and bathroom Shower screen needs realigning. Oak floor short to bath floor 15 mm 🤷‍♂️ Main bar on Saturday night 3 people in bar 🤷‍♂️

I had to travel on a business trip and feared the worst, and what I got was THE best hotel I have ever stayed in! The room was perfect, all I needed was an air fryer and a toaster and I could have lived there forever, so comfortable! But what sold it for me was the staff! From Emily when I first arrived, who could not have done more for me and made sure everything I needed was taken care of (Thanks again, Emily} to Charlotte, Jessie and Jackie, who made sure it was the best place to be when away from home! Thanks Guys, I had so much fun! Now to the food... OMG, the breakfast was huge, so many options and it was first class, it was so, so good and I felt bad leaving food but I just coudn't eat it all. Fresh, perfectly cooked and both days, the ladies on breakfast duties were lovely, attentive and made me feel very welcome. If you do stay here, make sure you get your evening meal in the adjoining sports bar (Bradleys) I had THE best fish and chips of my life in there! (And I have eaten some of the best fish and chips around the country) I was shovelling it down, to make sure I ate as much as I possibly could, it was so good. Thanks to Dan The Man for an epic dinner! Thanks again to everyone for an amazing stay! If you are looking to stay somewhere in this area, this is where you need to be. 5 star, first class, lovely people, modern comfortable rooms, great food and they made it not just a couple of days in a hotel, they made it an awesome time in a hotel!

This is just an amazing hotel. We only stayed 1 night, unfortunately, but it was just the best. The hotel itself is so nice. It’s clean, quiet, very stylish and we felt very special. Our room was just gorgeous with everything you need in a room. The view was of the pitch, amazing! The decor was very up to date. The bathroom was soooo nice. Huge shower with toiletries supplied and excellent quality towels that were actually big enough. The bed was huge with the best pillows we’ve ever had in any hotel and so comfy. There was even a fridge with water and fresh milk. Tea & coffee making facilities with decent mugs. There was an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, robes & slippers and an illuminated mirror in the bathroom but the best was a huge TV! Normally in a hotel I can’t see the screens without distance glasses but this must have been at least a 65” if not more. The room was simply perfect. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in a long time in any hotel (a welcome find after a Premier Inn breakfast swimming in oil and fat we’d had the week earlier in Scotland) Just sorry we only had one night but we’d most definitely stay again. Only saw 3 staff but they were pleasant and friendly. Well done Mill Farm Hotel.

What an absolute 5 star hidden gem. Never knew it was here for all these years ! The accommodation was first class, could not fault it in any way, built to a very high standard, with the best staff and service I have come across in any hotel. Really well situated, next to Wesham and Kirkham and just off the M55 motorway. The owners must be rock stars of the business world, they have set out a very modern well thought out complex with a lot of handy associated amenities.

I wanted to share how perfect my stay was. In my eyes, the hotel is 5-star, with amazing service and incredibly friendly staff. Special thanks to Jackie, who made our booking seamless and went above and beyond. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to the Lakes.

The bedrooms have been nicely furnished which is reflected in the price. A very strange environment, it looks a bit like a half finished industrial estate with a stadium in. Whilst nice inside the stadium, it is like a ghost town with nobody in the sports bar or cafe, such a shame as the facilities are nice. Breakfast was a lonely affair but nice food. I have heard lots of things about the owners behaviour which would explain such a lack of custom. A shame really.
