Our accommodations for nearly one week in the 3 room apartment were perfect for my husband and me. The place was clean, bright, and very spacious and even included an en suite washing machine which was helpful. Our well equipped kitchen was stocked with complimentary fresh onion, tomatoes, garlic and pasta which really assisted us in getting established on that first night following a long day of travel. A selection of wines at various price points was also available. The Fusco family was warm and welcoming. Brothers Franco and Vito were very hospitable. The grounds are beautiful, the view from our balcony breathtaking, and the smell of wisteria which was in full bloom was intoxicating. Be prepared for over 50 steps to access the property, but remember this is Positano! During the mid month in April when we visited, Italy was celebrating its liberation day, schools were closed, families were on the move, and Positano was overrun with tourists more like I would expect in peak summer. We had chosen to travel to Italy during the shoulder season but obviously did not consider this. Recommend to do your homework to identify all of the local holidays and how that may impact your travel. The town per se lost some of its charm for us because of the crowds. At one point in the city center, were we packed shoulder to shoulder and could not navigate the narrow street well. The only drawback to this property is that it is located at the gateway to Positano, not in center city which meant a lot of walking along the busy road, taxi, and/or the steep 400 step descent and then climb to access the center city. It was doable for us but could present a challenge if not at reasonably good fitness. That said, we were ultimately really glad that we had chosen this location when the center city was jammed with people, it provided a refuge from the chaos and the perfect way to experience the true beauty of the area sans the crowds.
