I'm afraid Premier Inn will be a last resort after our experience. We arrived, after 12 hours of travelling, to find that the incompetent, unprofessional person on reception had booked someone else into our room. He hadn't checked the details properly. He even sent us to the room, only for us to find someone had already unpacked. Eventually the manager tried to sort it out. We were given a room setup for single occupancy. We have only received the difference in cost between the Signature Room, for which we had already paid, and the room we were allocated. No compensation for the embarrassment of being accused of not having a reservation, or we had the wrong or even the wrong hotel. Head Office were just as disinterested in our complaint Captive audience and no PR doesn't say a great deal for the brand.
