This was a nice hotel not far from many things to do in Northern Ireland. The food here was good and the staff were nice. We appreciated the tips given to us on what activities we could do while there. The staff made us feel at home. The room was nice, and the location is quiet.

Nowhere else like the Brown Trout to recharge the batteries! It’s welcoming, comfortable, the best food, spotlessly clean and peaceful. What more could anyone want. The staff are absolutely lovely. It is second to none. We love to visit here and already planning another visit.

Couple with pet dog. Went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Family run hotel who looked after us really well. Staff went above and beyond. I organised flowers for anniversary meal and, Lynn, one of the staff went quite a journey to collect them. Very thoughtful. The bouquet was beautiful. Food was excellent, varied and cooked to order. Totally pet friendly. Our dog could eat with us in the bar area which was great. Gentle walks around golf course. Room was very comfortable with two double beds, with bath plus shower, two comfortable armchairs and plenty of space. Room cleaning was excellent. Close to Portstewart and Portrush. Thanks to Jane, Joanna, Lynn and Philip for a friendly and memorable short break. A*

Some of the food not great. Services was under staff. . Sad to watch. Staff done there best with what they could. 2 staff to 39 people. Covering food and drinks. Manager could take this on board. I did send them an email. Was not satisfied with feed back at least they could off other a discount for next visit. Sadly not. Kids were upstairs they had to sit there waiting. Steep stairs for wee ones.inside, and concrete out side steps down to garden. Not safe for smaller kids. Easily could fall get hurt on both set. Internally and externally. My son's waited 30 min for drinks. Hope they get sorted out these small problems. Wish the staff and management all the best.

Genuinely dog friendly. The food was really top drawer. Local fayre cooked really well. Staff and service really attentive. The grounds and surroundings also support the experience. We had a meal on Thursday off the menu which was so good we booked up for Sunday lunch there and then.

Stayed for work. Amazing place, the staff were super friendly. The room was incredible, really big and clean with great facilities. A really good breakfast cooked from fresh aswell. Will stay here again if ever in the area, a real hidden gem

We stayed with friends at The Brown Trout for a two-night relaxing break, using the hotel as a base for exploring the local area. We were warmly welcomed by Lynn on arrival and given our room keys. The rooms were spotless, cosy and comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant were the food was high standard (dinner and breakfast) and in the evening we relaxed with drinks in the resident's lounge. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and the hotel itself is in a quiet location but not too far from the Antrim North Coast sites and activities. We have visited several times before and no doubt will do so again. A big thank-you to Jane and her staff.

Four of us had dinner here on Saturday night. The whole restaurant and bar were buzzing. Mostly locals in for the evening and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The food was from an “all day menu” and the four different meals we had were superb. Cooked perfectly, arrived at the table piping hot, and fresh from the oven. Service was perfect, we wanted for nothing. Well deserved 5 score.

A one night break.
Room was beautifully decorated clean and tidy but l found the bed most uncomfortable. Too hard material for my liking
