Great location in a busy and buzzy part of Porto. We had a lovely room on the third floor, there is no elevator, but we had assistance with the luggage arriving and leaving. Very helpful gentleman in the breakfast room helped us organise an Uber to the airport and helped us with our luggage. So many great places to eat very close. We loved Casa Braganca literally 30 seconds walk around the corner. Best Sardines I had in Portugal.

Disappointing experience. The lack of a pool on-site was a major disappointment, especially since it was the main reason we chose this place. Additionally, it was inconvenient to have to walk 6 minutes up steep streets to access a pool located elsewhere. The constant noise on the premises from waiters and restaurant guests shouting and singing outside our windows made it impossible to sleep. We couldn't even have a conversation. There was noise from the street until 3 a.m. There was no refrigerator in the room, making it difficult to store cold beverages. Security was an issue as there was no safe available in the room, and we couldn't securely store our valuables. Being a functioning restaurant, many people came and went without supervision. There was never any staff at the so-called reception. The cleaning service came at 5 p.m. The toilet only worked every third time. We will never return

This is a great little place to stay. We arrived very early hoping to just go drop our bags but staff were happy to gives us an available room (which was and upgrade). Nicely renovated with large showers and comfortable beds. Handy to waterfront and shopping streets. A number of coffee shops (inc Starbucks) are close by and a coin laundromat a few doors away. Nice wine bar at the entrance. Would stay here again.

The hotel is in a quiet location, close to main attractions. I highly recommend the hotel restaurant. We had two fantastic dining experiences. The Continental breakfast was also very good. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries including Portuguese tart, cheese and cured meats. You need to order breakfast on the previous day by 4.00 pm. There is also a very well stocked wine bar, where you can order tapas at lunchtime. The room had a beautiful view of Porto. It was very clean and comfortable. There was a kettle and complimentary tea bags. There was also a complimentary bottle of water each morning. It is quite a small hotel and no lift, we were on the third floor. So if your mobility is poor make sure you book a room on a lower or ground floor. The staff were very friendly, helpful and English speaking. Ricardo was especially attentive. He can also recommend the best restaurants and sights to visit. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed our stay very much. We love Porto!!!

Single, female, aged 43 from the UK. I stayed here on my own in a family room (A3, front facing). Lovely big and spacious room with beautiful old shutters (that make it gloriously dark to sleep) and a small balcony to sit on and watch the world of Porto go by below you. Big bathroom with powerful rain shower and a smaller option for the days you don't need a hair wash. They supply plenty of towels, that were fluffy and big. The bed was comfortable with firm pillows. The wooden floors on the stairs can cause noise but overall this wasn't an issue for me. Great contact from the property from online check-in to organising the wine tour (see my review of EFun tours) and recommending restaurants (other than Alibi) From arrival the senses were engaged. You have a code to enter the building and it matches your room - which is genius. No key to lose or carry around and it was easy to give to friends who joined me. Perfectly located in the middle of the old town within walking distance of everywhere. TV with BBC entertainment. I felt extremely safe staying here. It's the small touches that make a difference - umbrellas to use by the door, no keys, free daily water and books placed in the room to read. This is a unique place to stay that makes you smile as you return from a long day of tastings and walking.

Nice, small rooms. You need to climb up to 3 flights of stairs and lug your bag yourself. No dresser or clothes storage beyond a coat rack. Above a restaurant so you have to walk through it to/from your room. Very central. Close to many things.
