Premier Inn Porthmadog

The new premier inn looks nice on arrival with plenty of parking. The reception area is small but staff were quickly available. The room, on the ground floor, was ready for our family of 4. It was clean and comfortable as expected. The room was freezing but warmed up quickly once turned on. The breakfast was fine although limited really, and we had to ask for some cooked items that had ran out. Would be better if there was more fresh fruit also. The only negative is the bar area because the lights are so cold and bright is hard to relax. We got a drink and took it to our room as it just felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. There are "EV charging parking bays"... But no actual chargers installed yet.

Very surprised by the quality of this hotel. We went to play golf locally and the hotel was really just a bed for the night. It was far more comfortable and well equipped than a lot of hotels I've stayed at for 3 times the price. Well recommended.

Upon arrival was met by manager Chris. He was pleasant and professional. He changed my room to one more suited.. I went into my room and noted how fresh and clean. A big thank you to the cleaning staff. Both my meals were fine, evening and breakfast. I stay at PI 4 or 5 nights a week all over the country and this was No 1 in my view.
