Premier Inn Porthmadog

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of March. The stay cost us just £112 for the 2 nights room only. We absolutely loved the hotel, and everyone who stayed agreed that they would want to return. The location is perfect, just opposite the train station with the lovely Spooners cafe / pub within minutes. We paid an additional £20 for one of the new premier plus rooms, which was great and came with a fridge, coffee machine, bottle of water, and an amazing view over the estuary and station. We ate in the hotel restaurant each evening and the food was excellent. We also used the small bar area during the day. The parking was fine as we had read reviews and made sure that we were back for 3 pm each day. We all agreed that the most impressive part of this hotel was the staff. They were amazing .. so friendly, approachable, helpful, and just a joy to be around! Thanks, go to all of them for making our stay a great one. Premier Inn is lucky to have you all. I was particularly impressed that when we ordered coffee in the restaurant, they did not charge me for my decaf as it was the same as the decaf sachets they have in the room. Impressed as they could have charged as most places do! I suppose the only slight downside was the new bed .. we prefer the old ones as this felt very hard, as did the pillows. And being really picky now ... please can you consider having a decaf pod for the coffee machine? We would recommend this PI to anyone and have already messaged friends. Thanks for a great 2 days.

This is a great hotel for short breaks within easy reach of Snowdonia a North Wales resorts. It location is very good with outlooks either over the estuary or the mountains. It is a fairly new hotel so is bright and airy and kept spotlessly clean. It also has the great benefit of having very friendly staff who are attentive and helpful. We stayed using the meal deal which is great value for money with a good standard of food. Highly recommend a break to this Premier Inn.

It is a good Premier Inn in a stunning location. If you were an avid birdwatcher, that is five minutes from the door, as would be for any steam enthusiasts, steam trains five minutes out of the door. Both seaside walks and mountain hiking trails start from here.
