ABOUT THE SPACE:Enjoy relaxing stay at the harmony house! The front part of the house is used a few hours a week for acoustic guitar lessons in the charming apartment suite in the back of the house, the beautiful porch, and a large backyard with a grill and fire pit is all yours to enjoy! The house is located in Port Royal and is a short walk to a small beach known as Port Royal Sands, wetlands walking trail and lots of dining and drinking options! It’s only a five minute drive over the bridge to Parris Island as well. THE SPACE:The house is owned and managed by Musicians and we use the front part of the house to teach a couple of acoustic guitar lessons just a few hours during the week. The entire guest suite in the back of the house is separate from the small studio in the front of the house, and the entire back sweet as well as the porch and the large backyard our solely yours to enjoy! The guest suite has a private keypad entry in the back and includes two bedrooms, a small kitchen and full bathroom with a double head shower. Each room has a TV and the outdoor living space includes a beautiful porch and seating area, patio with seating, grill and fire pit! There is no living room. Be sure to spend some time around the fire or grab the beach towels and head to the beach! Enjoy many of the dining and drinking options just a short walk from the house. The Sands Beach is the closest beach to the Airbnb, and it’s just 5 miles from the harmony house! The small beach is a sandy area at the conjunction of Battery creek and the Beaufort river and you can see Paris Island from here. You typically find tons of sharks teeth and can even drive your car right on the beach! However, Port Royal is a great walking community and you can walk to the Sands too. You’ll want to wear waterproof shoes in the water. It’s right next to the port royal community beer Garden in the Port Royal observation tower. If you’re looking for a more traditional beach experience make a beautiful drive out to Hunting Island State Park this is the most popular state park in South Carolina. This is where most people and Beaufort go to the beach and it’s just a 30 minute drive! This home is perfect for those coming to see their new Marine graduate, as well as those coming to explore Port Royal, historic Beaufort, and the gorgeous surrounding areas. The Sands Beach area, a local favorite destination is only a half mile from the house. It includes a small local beach on the Port Royal Sound, perfect for sunbathing and looking for shark's teeth. There is also a public boat launch, boardwalk and observation tower that overlooks Port Royal Sound and Parris Island. One block from the home is the Cypress Wetlands nature sanctuary with its walking trails and boardwalk. Port Royal offers several unique shops, restaurants, and a wonderful gourmet coffee shop, all within walking distance from the house. We are a 3 minute drive to Parris Island, 4 minutes to walking and biking on the Spanish Moss Trail. Downtown Beaufort with its waterfront park, shops, and varied dining options is just an 8 minute drive away. We are a 25 minute drive to the beach and lighthouse at Hunting Island State Park and a 40 minute drive to Hilton Head. Charleston which is 60 miles away and Savannah which is just 40 miles away, are both easy day trips.Come and kick back and enjoy what Port Royal has to offer. WIFI is provided as well as Netflix and Prime Video. LIVING AREA:There is plenty of seating available to accommodate 4-6 people for eating, watching a movie, playing your favorite board game or just socializing. DINING AREA: Enjoy a family meal with our drop-leaf table that can seat 4-6 people comfortably. This area is spacious and open to kitchen and living room accessibility. KITCHEN: We supply a fully equipped kitchen which includes crock pot, auto drip coffee pot with coffee provided, Keuriq, blender, toaster, fry pans and sauce pans and a 9x13 baking pan. There is also a large stock pot for cooking up Frogmore stew or your favorite soup. There are plenty of dishes, cups and flatware. There is a microwave and dishwasher. We also have measuring cups and spoons, cutting knives and a pizza pan. LAUNDRY ROOM: Washer and dryer are available if needed as well as laundry detergent and cleaning supplies. This is also where you will find a first aid kit and some games to play when you are kicking back and relaxing. BEDROOM 1: Comfortable Queen bed with a private bath. TV, comfortable chair and closet. Located on ground floor. You will also find an iron and ironing board in the closet as well as hangers to hang your clothes. Place your luggage on the fold out luggage rack. PORCHES: Relax on our front patio with porch glider. There is nothing like sitting on acomfortable chair and enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning while breathing in the fresh lowcountry air. CANCELLATION POLICY: If something happens and you need to postpone your dates, we can move you to a later date as long as the house is still available . If you cancel completely you will receive a full refund of accommodation fees if cancellation is made five full days prior to your 4:00 check in time on the day you were scheduled to check in. If you need to cancel less than 5 days in advance, the first night is non-refundable but 50% of the accommodation fees for the remaining nights will be refunded. If you arrive and decide to leave early, 50% of the accommodation fees for the nights not spent 24 hours after the cancellation occurs are refunded. You might be charged service fees from the site.
