Club Wyndham Flynns Beach, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

We are Cub owners booked 3 bedroom deluxe and 3 Bed Grand rooms they were clean and neat however the main ensuite bathrooms were outdated and dangerous needed a step ladder to get into shower bath. Was not up to standard for deluxe and Grand. When I communicated staff were not helpful. Slipped in bath shower getting out got a step ladder and anti slip matt to make it safe. Main ensuite should have proper shower. Bathroom was horrible in both units. Was denied owner update meeting to Wyndham computer issues was treated like everything was too hard and staff were not helpful in solving problems that were clearly not mine. Called owner services to sort out problems. Not happy. Our annual family get together was impacted but not ruined. Pool and spa are great and restaurant was good. Port Macquarie walks were beautiful.

We have just returned from a 5-day holiday at the resort. We are not members of the Club Wyndhum time-share program, but were asked to participate in a 'sales' presentation. We declined. I am so glad that we did, especially when you consider the financial cost of membership and our experience on this occasion. Overall, we were very disappointed with the resort. We saw people openly taking glass into the pool area, and even relaxing in the pool while drinking from glass. I did ask a bar staff member who insisted that they only use plastic when they know people are going into the pool area. I have been around long enough, and have worked in hospitality, to be able to identify the difference between plastic and glass, besides beer stubbles are not made of plastic, and there were plenty of them in the pool enclosure. Our room had an overwhelming smell of prawns. We tried to ventilate and deodorise as best we could, but the smell remained. I fail to see why the cleaning staff had not extracted the carpets before allowing new guests to enter the room. The extracting process only takes a day to complete and the smell was very noticeable. Lastly the bed was literally the worst we have ever slept on. The mattress felt like it was made from an ironbark tree slab that was covered with a piece of material. We were lucky to get a few hours sleep each night. The lounge chairs were uncomfortable and lacked any reasonable padding. The only way to relax was to lie on the smelly carpet. Certainly it was not possible to sit in those chairs for more than a few minutes. So, if that is the quality of these expensive time-share resorts I am convinced we will never join.

A relaxing time was had by all in a three bedroom apartment Accommodation was great Food & dining options nearby was at a high level Short stroll to nearby beach Out of our 7 day stay - last two days were spoilt by bad weather & plenty of rain The only downside was the pressure placed on us to attend the sales pitch for time share. This put a damper on our time there But can’t complain too much received a $100 voucher to be used at restaurant plus 15% off purchases (alcohol included)

One of the best places to stay. Good size rooms, great things for children to play games outside such as table Tenace, swimming, Jinga and totem Tenace.

Situated near the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, and sandy beaches. Good restaurant, pool and heated spa all on site. Local shops within walking distance, and only a few kilometers to the clubs and shops in the centre of town.

Rented a one bedroom flat for two nights in early November Pros: Super nice and helpful front desk staff, large space accommodations including full size refrigerator and kitchen with cooking equipment, centrally located and near beach; free movies in room; adult only hot tub and small gym (but both require obtaining key from front desk); soft comfortable bed and different types of pillows; clean unit; they didn’t push the time share sale on us (maybe because we are foreign) Cons: Air conditioning is standard alone mounted unit in living room, about 25-30 feet from the bedroom down a narrow hallway so not much AC gets to the bedroom but there is a ceiling fan in bedroom which only has high speeds; unit right off pool and restaurant so we had no privacy - music was so loud we had trouble hearing the TV but once we asked them to turn it down, they did - also lots of parking spaces around our end unit so we had a lot of car and truck noise; lots of kids - this could be a pro if you are traveling with kids :) , no easily accessible electrical outlets near bed; uncomfortable couch Tip: Blue Whale has good food but closed Monday. In fact, LOTS of places are closed Mondays and/or Tuesdays. You can’t beat breakfast on Flynn’s Beach! Great views and good food. The coastal walk north and especially south of Flynn’s Beach is beautiful.
