Love staying here, check in was welcoming though further information could have been given, housekeeping perhaps need a check list or to be second checked as little things are consistently missed. Emma and Jenna on the front desk are exceptional as is Graham the concierge and the restaurant wait staff are also great. Pool food for the price are a bit minimal but delicious. If housekeeping pick up their game we find it hard to fault this property as we love it.

Our stay at Peppers was so relaxing and enjoyable. The apartments are beautifully decorated and luxurious. Unfortunately during winter if you want to sit by the pool in the sun. You will struggle. The sunloungers are predominantly in the shade. You have to swap loungers throughout the day to try and stay in the sun. So unfortunately we resulted to going to the beach everyday. Which was a shame as the pool area is beautiful. We also saw lots of other guests at the beach due to the lack of sun around the loungers. So if you want to relax by the pool in the sun - during winter this will be a problem. Breakfast is also very basic.

Stunning location. Room amenities were great - we had two rooms (spa room and a family room) which meant we had two bathrooms, three king beds, full kitchen, laundry, tea/coffee facilities spa room, lounge, pontoon with pool recliners on the pontoon. Room service (meals and cocktails) available, as was delivery pool side for other rooms. False beach with shallow ‘sand bar’ allowed the kids to feel comfortable while playing - with the numerous pool toys and sand toys that were available from Peppers. Rooms were super clean and cleaning staff were courteous and quick. Bonus - walking distance from everything including super close to beach and main drag, underground secure car parking available and onsite booking for tours. Will definitely be back again - loved our stay.

I had a terrible experience at Peppers Beach Club Port Douglas. Upon entering our room, it had a musty smell that suggested it hadn’t been aired out in years. To make matters worse, the sheets were stained, looking disturbingly like blood. The room phone didn’t work, and when I tried calling the front desk from my mobile, no one answered after three attempts. We eventually had to walk down to the front desk to get the stained sheets replaced. I was staying for work for two nights, but our reservation was split into two separate bookings without any explanation. The staff didn’t mention this at check-in, and after our first night, we were abruptly told to vacate the room immediately. When I spoke with the front desk supervisor, she confirmed we were booked for two nights, but insisted we’d have to move to a different room because of the split reservation. When I asked if they could adjust the bookings so we could stay in our room, I was denied. They said incoming guests were expecting the room right away. Feeling shocked and upset, I quickly packed up our belongings and stored them in our car before returning to the front desk. The supervisor showed very little concern for our situation, and when I pointed out that this was their mistake, she didn’t seem to take responsibility. I explained that we were there for work and I needed to leave to see a client in 15 minutes, as we were using the room as a base. She told us we’d have to wait until 2 PM to check back in, but they could hold our luggage for us. Disgusted, I decided to cancel the second night instead of being ejected from our room and then forced to wait to check back in. We quickly found another place to stay for the rest of the day and night. Additionally, I’d like to mention our experience ordering drinks and snacks by the pool on our first day. The staff tossed the food onto our table without a word, and the plate hit the table with enough force to draw attention from other guests. I noticed at least three other tables received the same careless treatment. We paid good money for a hotel that should take care of its guests, and this is not the kind of service you expect. My company used to regularly book stays at Peppers Beach Club for work trips, but after this experience, that will no longer be the case. I’m still shocked by the lack of accountability from the staff and management. This has easily been one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I’ve stayed in some pretty bad places. If you’re considering a stay at Peppers Beach Club Port Douglas, I recommend looking elsewhere.

A great location and excellent facilities. The rooms are ideal, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool is great, and the resort is positioned close to the beach and main shopping area. The overall package is perfect and we would have no hesitation in recommending the Beach Club.

Stayed 5 nights in a lagoon access room, room was nice layout, good space and comfortable furniture. BBQ Deck and then lower private pool deck were nice luxury touches. . Caution ! Step to pool is TOO big for most and no grab rail. The step / ledge is nice to sit/lie on in the water however with poor knees wife had to exit pool near the restaurant/bar and walk back to room. A little annoying, yet worth it (just) for everything else about the location. The Pool noodles around the pool were a simple yet great idea to enjoy floating about. We had one maintenance issue in the room on arrival, as location was fully booked it was managed well at the time and repaired next day with a nice note left by handyperson. Restaurant/bar had happy hour(s) 3 - 5pm and a yummy buffet breakfast $35, Small layout, yet everything you expect. and yes Eggs to order , Fried, Poached. Omelets. Barista coffee extra. Secure parking underneath included. Location is about perfect and a short 5 - 10 min walk from main street or beach.

The room was small and dated, aircon couldn’t go lower than 22 degrees and the bed was hard with horrible thick hard pillows. The pool area was lovely and staff were friendly. Bar ran out of beer for multiple days and towels. Cleaners didn’t clean the room properly leaving rubbish. Definitely didn’t feel like 5 star. Left early and went to another hotel. Paid $400 a night and very disappointed.
