Beaches Holiday Apartments - Official Onsite Reception & Check IN

Fantastic place to stay. The huge apartment was so well set up and very well looked after. It was nice and quiet, the views were amazing, we stayed in the ocean view apartment. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay with them again.

Booked 2br through intermediary company. Car parks marked with apartment numbers so utilised the one belonging to the apartment. The apartment was on the ground floor in the corner so could see it got no light on balcony - so washing had difficulty drying. Open kitchen, dining and lounge area which was a very good size. No sheers on the windows so everyone could see into the bedrooms, lounge and kitchen areas. No privacy. Floors were very dirty and that was when I cleaned a small portion with a wipe (will not show you the photo as it was gross). Toilet paper was already used and not much left in the roll. Pillows were musty and long overdue for a replacement. Sheets were very cheap hotel quality and were very stiff like paper. Blankets smelt like they hadn’t been washed in a while and were musty. As someone also mentioned there’s occasionally a loud sound from the hot water service or something which scared the begeezes out of me each time it occurred at night. Pool wooden decking got hot quickly so it was something to be mindful of. A shared bbq so we didn’t cook our own dinner the whole time and food cost more this trip. Port Douglas is a very humid environment and it appears Beaches does not renew its furnishings often enough as compared to other resorts we’ve previously stayed in Port Douglas. Considering the price we paid we do not recommend Beaches and will not stay there again.

Water pipe noises disturbed our sleep. Management was unable to resolve during our week stay. Fridge was not cold - unable to keep milk cold. Property was not presented as clean as it should have been and there were a number of smaller maintenance items that required attention (door handle, cupboard draws and lamps not working correctly). The units are independently owned so there may be different standards across the complex. The location was great. Staff were understanding of issues but could not resolve within our visit. We chose to leave early and move on.

Fantastic stay at beautiful Beaches Port Douglas! Mitchell the Op Manager and the whole team went above & beyond to help our group of close friends and family secure great apartments for our dates! This accomm has gorgeous beach & pool views with beautiful modern open plan appartments! We have stayed in many places in PD and this definitely tops the lot!!! Stunning

It was sad to see the poor condition of the grounds at Beaches. I have not been for a couple years and noticed a huge change. Not sure if there is financial issues but not good. The tropical gardens are in poor condition, the pool is looking tired. I didn't use the BBQ but another guest said they were hard to use. The accommodation was excellent, but is being let down by the external features. I have to question value for money

This is our 4th visit to Port Douglas and Beaches is the best yet. Great communication from managenent from the day of booking to the day of checkout. Friendly, helpful front desk. Simply stunning finishes and the best location in Port Douglas overlooking the beach, pool and spa. We will be back!
