Hoposa Cultural Boutique

We had a well equipped room (fridge, kettle, hairdryer, toiletries, choice of pillows and duvets) and a good breakfast on the terrace thanks to some pleasant, unexpectedly warm October weather. The hotel is centrally located, less than 100 metres from the seafront and shops and a short walk from the bus station. It’s part of the Hoposa group (one of our favourites - we’ve stayed at this hotel and others in the group several times) and a real bargain.

We stayed 4 nights in a standard room. The room is small, you can just pass between the bed and the wall. The bathroom is small too, you need to stand in a corner or in the shower to be able to close the door (that goes inwards). There is no balcony. The room was clean and nice, the bed is large and comfy. Superb AC. The doors seem made out of paper cause you hear everything from the hallway, people walking and talking. The doors close very loud and the elevators beeps. The hotel is about 250 metres from the water and you have to walk a bit further to reach the beach. When we were there, there was no sunbeds on any beach. Lots of restaurants and shops just outside. That also makes the hotel not so quiet, there are deliveries, trash collection etc early in the mornings. We also happened to stay during a festival with loud live music just outside our window until 6.30 AM one day and an amusement park all our nights. Breakfast is very good, it’s a la carte (see picture for menu) and you can sit outside overlooking the square. Dinner was also good. It’s very nice decorated. The staff in the restaurant are hard working, serviceminded and accommodating. The pool is really small but seemed new. It’s on the roof with sunbeds and we enjoyed it. The hotel has no reception, you check in at Hotel Daina 200 meters down the road (which should be very good info in the booking confirmation).

Lovely place to stay, clean and well kept, breakfasts were also good, staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of lovely restaurants close by and very short walking distance to a beach with long walks by the sea

For us, the best boutique hotel in the Port and we’ve been coming here for some 34 years. This is our second visit to the Cultural and there will be a third. Super place, clean, attractive with very friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are clean, beds very comfortable and a large variety of breakfasts, all served. Thanks to ALL the staff especially ‘Queen Eli’ for a big smile every morning. And to James, the manager of the Daina too, thanks for taking the time to chat.

Lovely room overlooking the square. Got upgraded to a balcony room. Friendly staff and fantastic breakfast with lots of choices and variations and served to you by friendly staff. The square is buzzing with locals and children and has bars and music in the evenings. Whilst not a sea view here it’s great for people watching. The market in a Wednesday is great too. The hotel exceeded our expectations.
