Hotel a Port d＇Alcudia, Spagna

Excellent first impression, nice on the outside and nice on the inside. The lobby looked refreshed and the receptionist was welcoming and accommodating. We requested 2 rooms next to each other and we got just that on the ground floor. We were on a girl’s trip so we booked a hotel that would not have children and this place delivered its promise on that. The breakfast was really good, a a buffet of wide variety hot and cold options were available as well as hot/cold beverages. The rooms are equipped as a 3 star hotel should be, all basics covered, except no refrigerator otherwise satisfactory in terms of cleanliness, comfort and amenities. Rooms were cleaned daily. We were always outside either walking/laying on the beach in the day, dining out and then out and about all night until late so we hardly ever stayed in the room. We used it to sleep and freshen up. The bed was comfortable enough and the bathroom facilities all worked well, towels were clean and replaced as required. The air conditioning worked well. The hotel’s location is excellent, a walk away to the beach, bus station, dance clubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, gift shops, etc. Overall a good hotel for its value. We will definitely stay here again on our next year’s summer vacation and would highly recommend it to people who simply need a comfortable place to stay while spending most their time out and about.

Wir haben das Hotel häufiger besucht, als es noch von Park Hyatt geführt wurde. Damals war es neben der grandiosen Architektur für mich in Bezug auf Personal/Service eines der besten Hotels, die ich kannte. Dass Hyatt sich nach so kurzer Zeit zurückgezogen hat, war verständlich ein schwerer Schlag und in meinen Augen auch etwas feige. Seitdem meide ich Hyatt Hotels anderswo. Ich finde es super und mutig, dass man das Hotel wohl nun selbst betreibt und weiterhin ein 5 Sterne Resort bietet. Grundsätzlich erfüllt das Hotel diese Ansprüche auch. Es ist optisch traumhaft und die Parkanlagen so gut gepflegt wie noch nie – auch scheint man ein gutes Auge für die Instandhaltung zu haben. Mit dem Essen waren wir ebenfalls zufrieden, die Tapas Bar bot kulinarische Highlights wie eh und je, das Balearic bot ein super Frühstück, die Beilagen zum Abendessen (Fleisch, teuerstes Gericht auf der Karte) waren eher etwas schwach. Das Hyatt machte vor allem der perfekte Service und das optimal eingespielte Team aus, hier besteht noch deutlich Verbesserungspotential. Zunächst hatten wir ein Zimmer, welches unangenehm gerochen hat (warum auch immer, es war ein modriger Geruch, womöglich von der Klimaanlage). Wir haben uns sofort beschwert, dann wollte man das Problem mit einem Duftspray lösen und meinte erstmal, ein Zimmerwechsel sei nicht möglich. Ganz ehrlich, ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse kann sich so etwas abschminken. Es gibt nur eine Lösung: Sofort ein neues Zimmer. Mit Nachdruck meinerseits erfolgte dies dann auch, mit diesem Zimmer waren wir rundum zufrieden. Eine gebuchte Massage im SPA hatte man wegen Ausfall der gebuchten Masseuse per E-Mail abgesagt (am Tag der Anreise, was ich nicht mehr gesehen habe). Vor Ort hat uns dies niemand gesagt, auch nicht beim Checkin. Erst beim Erscheinen im SPA am letzten Tag kam dies auf, man hatte dann allerdings gut reagiert und improvisiert – somit ein neutraler Punkt, müsste bei einem Haus dieser Klasse aber besser funktionieren. Nach einem kurzen Regenschauer wurden die „Service-Piepser“ und die QR Codes für die Bewirtung am Pool nicht mehr aufgestellt, obwohl es wieder super schön war. Generell musste man dort oft lange auf Service/Bestellungen warten. Die Speisen am Pool inkl. dem Milchshake waren nicht gerade empfehlenswert bzw. die Auswahl sehr mau, der Mojito jedoch war sehr gut. Dem Personal fehlt oft der letzte Schliff und es fehlt teilweise an Professionalität. Die Preise im Resort sind angemessen, die Minibar war sogar im Preis enthalten. Wir wünschen dem Hotel weiterhin alles Gute und werden wieder Gäste sein dort – bis dahin erhoffen wir uns ein paar Verbesserungen.

The hotel has good opportunities for a sports holiday - swimming pool, bike storage, good catering. There are also enough activities for children on the hotel grounds - children's pools, playgrounds for football and tennis. The beach is a few hundred meters away. The hotel rooms were of adequate size and had everything necessary.

We stayed for for two weeks half board during September family of three . We opted for this hotel because it wasn’t geared towards younger children , and due to the positive reviews regarding the pool area , spacious rooms and food. Thankfully most tourists were couples of families with older children. The location is quite it takes 30 minutes to walk into Sa Coma at a slow steady pace, the nearest bar is within 15 minutes of the hotel (Delaynies Bar, )we don’t recommend this bar it’s dated run down, and basically a tourist trap purportedly offering the cheapest drinks in town , a Baileys cost 8 Euro and is smaller than a standard measure , the glasses are dirty the entire place needs refurbishing. We arrived at the hotel just before midnight check in was smooth , we were informed due to missing our meals a cold buffet had been placed in the fridge, when we entered the room we were disappointed to realise there wasn’t anything in the fridge, we were left three small bottles of water , no milk, tea bags or cups resulting in us having to go back to reception to ask for cups, milk teabags to enable us to make a drink. The rooms are spacious but dated, the sofa beds are not suitable for adults or older teenagers, hotel staff refused to accommodate our request for three single beds despite being informed I was due hip replacement surgery and as our son is in his late he is too old to sleep on a cot bed, the hotel wasn’t fully booked so no reason why hotel staff couldn’t accommodate our request. The air-Con in the room is antiquated and temperamental switching on/ off randomly, no mosquito nets on the doors, no full pool view unless you stand up ( we paid for a superior apartment) The pool area is fantastic lots of sun beds plenty for everyone, calm peaceful atmosphere and a great snack bar offering reasonably priced drinks and snacks- A large Coke costs 2.25 Euro, a large beer 3.5 Euro , cocktails are superb freshly made in a shaker , most cocktails cost 5Euro a pina colada costs 6 Euro . The drinks are cheaper than those found in the main resort and far superior in terms of volume and quality, buy a cocktail you won’t be disappointed. The animation team are lovely they kept our teenager entertained with aqua gym, darts, skittles, a special thanks to Gorka and Maria and the other girls. Brian and Miguel at the pool bar were also friendly and helpful making tasty snacks and drinkswith a smile, the guy with the grey hair at the main bar made fantastic cocktails and was always happy and helpful all staff are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast is great the hotel restaurant offers a wide choice of food which is good quality and cooked to a good standard, unfortunately I can’t say the same about food in the evening which is geared towards German guests , food labelling is also problematic again German tourists are prioritised all food was labelled in German making it difficult for us to determine what was on offer , we had a couple of shocks

Our cash was stolen from the room while having breakfast. We know the cash was in our wallets because we paid in cash for dinner the night before. Also, it was gone from my and my wife’s wallets so it couldn’t be just lost or coincidence. The only time we didn’t have our back packs that contained our wallets in them was during this breakfast just before checking-out. The breakfast took 15 minutes max. We stayed at the 2nd floor. Balcony doors and windows were closed. Even wooden sun covers were closed. Doors were locked with a key upon leaving for breakfast (not a card lock). The staff was uncooperative in helping to resolve the issue and refused to show security recordings for some vague “legal” reasons (basically balming GDPR). Room service (cleaners) were trying to enter our room for at least 3 times while we stayed at the hotel. One time just 3-4 hours after our check-in they were trying to enter the room but couldn’t as the key was inserted from inside. When I came out of the room asking what do they want they looked surprised that we’re there (we were sleeping because we had an overnight ferry) and asked if we need a new towel or toilet paper. Seems strange when this happens 3 hours after you enter freshly prepared room after check-in. When we reported about the theft via booking site messages to the staff, we almost got threatened for accusing them for stealing which we did not in the first place. The receptionist that has spoken english pretty ok while checking-out (we still didn’t know that we were robbed), has totally forgotten how to speak english when we arrived at the lobby after finding out about the theft. She said she cannot understand us and doesn’t speak english :) We paid in cash for the stay in the hotel and paid in cash at the bar for the drinks. It would be just another theft from a hotel room, probably, if it wasnt done in a broad daylight, in 15 minutes time that we were out of the room that was locked and had its balcony’s door closed (including the wooden sun covers). Cannot directly point the fingers to the staff or room service, cause I have no evidence and weren’t allowed to review security recordings, but this raises too damn many questions. I hope the police will be given the access to the security footage and will find out what has happened. If I were you, I would avoid this hotel. This has totally ruined our vacation mood (at least tenporarily) because it is really really disgusting to be robbed and then be treated rude and suspiciously by the staff.

Posizione ottima fronte mare e in zona pedonale ma anche vicinissimo alla via transitabile in auto. Personale gentile e disponibile. Buffet colazione molto fornito sia per colazione light che anglosassone, carente solo di frutta. Molto affollata area colazione (usata da più hotel) ma buffet sempre rifornito tempestivamente e tavoli puliti in fretta. Camere modeste ma con piccolo balcone e piccolo stendibiancheria, pulizia iniziale insufficiente, migliorata nei giorni successivi. Ascensore veloce nonostante ce ne sia uno solo. Condizionatore molto rumoroso. Piscina modesta ma mai troppo affollata (anche se è usata da più hotel). Can Picafort è una località gradevole, affollata ma con molti servizi quindi mai caotica, turisti di varia natura: molti inglesi e tedeschi, soprattutto famiglie ma anche terza età e giovani, ci sono opportunità e locali per tutti. Spiaggia lunga e stretta con sabbia che degrada dolcemente in mare. Spesso ventoso con onde. Si alternano spiagge attrezzate e libere, queste ultime frequentate anche da nudisti. Le spiagge attrezzate sono tutte gestite dalla pubblica amministrazione, mai da privati: ombrelloni fissi del tipo paglia che non si ripiegano, ci si posiziona sul primo libero che si trova e dopo un po' passa un funzionario pubblico che riscuote il pagamento, prezzi fissi ma variano da spiaggia a spiaggia. Dove c'è spiaggia libera ci sono sempre venditori ambulanti di ombrelloni, acquistabili però anche nei negozi presenti un po' ovunque. Al di fuori di Can Picafort le spiagge attrezzate visitate hanno tutte bar e bagni ma raramente docce in spiaggia. In certe località non è ammesso accedere a bar/ristorante solo in costume.
