Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Bay Island, Port Blair

Had an overall wonderful experience at the ITC hotel in Port Blair. The breakfast buffet was amazing with lot of variety and good taste. All of the hotel staff were very friendly, polite especially Pratima was quite helpful for us.

Disappointed with the overall stay and experience espically with the Welcome ITC brand association. Firstly we checked in at around 6 pm due to ferry changes , there was no welcome drink served at the reception. The guy at the reception was very cold and rude and did not welcome like the welcome we have received in other resorts of ITC. The room was pathetic, absolutely small when it was clearly indicated an extra bed would be required at the time of booking. When we raised our concerns that after placing the extra bed there will not be any space to walk in the room but we were told there were no other options. The sheets were stained and worst of all there was spider web right on top of the bed. Not sure about the cleaning standards. Dinner buffet and breakfast had a lot of options but the taste and flavour of the food served specially Dal makhani and paneer that we appreciate in ITC was clearly missing. The only USP was the breathtaking view from the breakfast area or the restaurant. Given the price and the brand value really disappointed with the overall experience and would rather recommend Sea Shell than this property.

Appreciate the location and value for money, please go for ocean view room, they have best view of calm blue sea. Breakfast has more Indian menu which I personally like.

We had a wonderful stay with amazing services and comfortable accommodation. My husband and I went for a weekend getaway as he needed a break from his stressful work, and this place was the perfect retreat. The surroundings and its view provided just the right amount of calm and peace we were looking for. The only small issue we faced was with the water pressure on the toilet jet spray, which could be improved. Other than that, everything was lovely, and we would definitely love to return.

Great Location with Breathtaking views. Good food. Hospitality is great with well behaved staff. Only issue is that the property is quite old with creaking boards here and there. The size of the room is also a bit small. Apart from that, would still recommend to stay at this wonderful property.
