Quayside Quarters

For our weeding anniversary we had a wonderful stay at the Quayside Quarters. The accommodation was well positioned in Quayside but not easy to find using Google Maps . Jenny the owner rescued us , gave us warm welcome despite us missing her texts needing information on our arrival time for her convenience. The room had delightful decor . A lovely touch was lots of candles in bathroom. Also, there were ample cosmetics , drinks in room if we were short of anything. What was most helpful was a guide in room written in amusing way the dos and dont’s with useful tourist information of area. A appreciated touch was on last day we were planning the Cockle walking tour and Jenny printed out 20 pages as user friendly guide for tour. Staying at Quayside Quarters certainly enhanced our celebrations.

We had a wonderful 3 days, staying at Jenny and Paul's lovely b&b, a 100yds or so from the actual quay. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was beautifully clean with everything you could wish for - tea/coffee, lovely comfortable bed, mini bar, view of church. Breakfast was continental style and Jenny could not have been more helpful - even asking what we liked in case she didn't have it but everything we wanted - fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, breads, jams and marmalades etc were all there. The property is very well and tastefully decorated and there was even room to park our car at the rear of the property; which was wonderful. there is an interesting pub at the top of the street and a profusion of restaurants, pubs and cafes very close. we would not hesitate to recommend this gem of a property. Great place to visit and enjoy the sunshine and have a meal or drink with friends Watch the world go by and see the boats coming in and out of the harbour Road bridge opens and closes when large boats go through Everyone was very friendly and helpful The old customs house restaurant was excellent

The wife and I stopped at this lovely B&B whilst on a surprise visit to a friend the location is superb only minutes away from the quay Yet in a totally tranquil position with a secure gated entrance Jenny the owner was really helpful and recommended us a place to eat which was superb the room was lovely breakfast was nice and the whole place had lots of attention paid to detail everything you could want for a nice stay has been thought of We can’t wait to return:-)

Spotlessly clean. Fantastic location and Jenny is a delightful host. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Jenny was very welcoming and friendly before and during our stay. The room very clean and tidy with the little extra touches making at a lovely break. The house is extremely close to the front with ample restaurants bars and cafes within 5 mins walk. Would stay again if visiting the area.

Situated in a lovely period square close to the Quay. Really helpful local reference guide and directions provided by friendly host. Clean, tidy and good reasonably sized room. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Very comfortable bed.
