Hotel a Ponta do Sol, Portogallo

Ci siamo fermati una settimana con amici in questa struttura. Pulita, luminosa, tranquilla. C'è anche una piscina interna e una sala fitness (che non ho usato) Colazione a buffet molto variata, sia dolce che salata, abbondante. Abbiamo anche cenato due sere lì. Anche in questo caso c'è un buffet. Il luogo è tranquillo, in riva al mare. Le camere sono spaziose, tutte vista mare, molte con terrazza. C'ê l'aria condizionata, una piccola cassaforte e il Wi-Fi prende bene. Il prezzo è adeguato alla struttura. Nelle vicinanze vi sono alcuni ristoranti e bar. Per l'auto vi è un'autorimessa sotterranea, che però è quasi sempre completa. Vi sono comunque parcheggi in zona.

Posizione: Ottima posizione, praticamente nel centro storico da dove si possono raggiungere tutte le destinazioni. A due passi dall’Avenida do Mar da dove partono tutti i mezzi pubblici per ogni luogo. Ricezione: Non molto bene, sono arrivato alle 14, orario indicato nelle istruzioni per fare il check-in ma la ragazza, un po’ indaffarata in altre chiacchiere con il personale, mi ha avvertito che fino alle 15 non potevo usufruire della camera in quanto gli altri ospiti l’avevano lasciata tardi, scusa banale. Non bene aspettare un ora dopo 6 ore di viaggio. Camere: Spaziosa e con letti abbastanza grandi anche se con materassi a molle non molto confortevoli. Aria condizionata molto rumorosa e vetri che non insonorizzano i rumori della strada e quindi una qualità del sonno abbastanza precaria. Pulizia: Buona e tutto in ordine. Colazione: Abbastanza dozzinale, direi insufficiente in quanto tutto molto scadente, non saprei trovare un prodotto che sia stato all’altezza della situazione. Pane non di qualità, croissant di qualche giorno e altri prodotti con la stessa apparenza, Male Prezzo: Molto buono il prezzo che è quello che porta a dare 3 stelle altrimenti sarebbe stato insufficiente. Giudizio Finale: Se avete la necessità di spendere poco ed avere una posizione comoda va bene per soggiorni brevi. Altrimenti ad un prezzo più caro c’è di meglio

Our experience of the hotel was enhanced by our meal in the restaurant, which I have reviewed separately. My favourite thing about the room was the enclosed balcony. It was like having a private yoga studio in the sky. (Fellow yogis note, the floor was slippery.) I also enjoyed the spectacular view from the Sauna, which at the time was free because it was not working optimally. (So do ask!) It was good enough for me, but it took over an hour to heat up. The Pool looked too small and shallow to actually swim in, but mostly it was unusable as it was colder than the sea. I don’t know if this was usual. Breakfast was fairly similar to ones we had at other Madeira hotels, but this place had the tastiest selection of fresh bread rolls and very good garlicky mushrooms. The room was clean. We liked the 3-section recycling bin in the room. Others mentioned lack of plugs for phones. Erm... we knew about that but were surprised to find that there were not enough plugs for the room items. The Kettle and TV had to share a wall outlet. They really should consider supplying an extension lead, which could be given out and collected at check-in, just as they (bizarrely) do with the TV remote control. We did start off on a rather bad note. At check in, we were downright ignored. One receptionist was settling a dispute with another guest, but both members of staff deliberately avoided any sort of eye contact with us. I don't normally notice this sort of thing, but it was rude and infuriating and lasted some time. A simple nod would have sufficed. I’ll put this down to a bad day for the first member of staff, who later was helpful. After a long wait for no discernible reason, the other receptionist demanded payment before we had even seen the room, for which we had paid in advance. We've stayed at many places who use multiple booking sites. Sometimes you pay on arrival, sometimes beforehand, and we understand that the hotel needs to know. However, there are ways of asking that don't come across as offensive and like one is trying to get away with something. Not everyone is out to steal the remote control. Make sure you bring proof of payment if you’ve paid in advance, as we had. The hotel is lucky that they have out of this world views.

L'Hotel Next, a Funchal, a Madera, è convinto dalla sua eccellente posizione direttamente sull'acqua. Le camere, anche se spaziose, tendono a creare un'atmosfera leggermente amorfa a causa della loro oscurità. Tuttavia, l'hotel si trova in una posizione confortevole con letti, strutture moderne e bagni attraenti. La colazione, servita in una sorta di cantina, ha una scelta limitata e la qualità potrebbe essere migliorata. Un'eccellenza è tuttavia il Beach Club sull'acqua, che, sebbene non sia una spiaggia, mette in evidenza un passo con una piscina e un accesso diretto al mare.

Tutto era fantastico, posizione dell'hotel, servizi e design dell'hotel. Ho goduto le 2 notti lì. Purtroppo il benvenuto non mi è stato bene, mentre aspettavo per 3 ore e 20 minuti. Sì, sono arrivato presto prima del controllo in tempo, che è 2:00 e sono arrivato alle 11:50 e il personale del ponte frontale ( Eduard ) mi conferma che la mia stanza sarà pronta alle 2:00 ma fino alle 3:00. Alle 10 sono arrivato nella mia stanza dopo aver scritto la mia domanda al manager del ponte anteriore ( Peter ), il problema non era circa il tempo che ho perso, ma l'atteggiamento del personale del ponte anteriore, come sta guardando il mio volto più volte e non è venuto a dire scusa che la tua stanza non sia ancora pronta. Per scusarmi...

Fantastic!! Having never done an all inclusive holiday due to my sons serious allergies we can honestly not recommend more! Travelling with a 3 month baby in tow also the rooms were ideal & spacious for our needs. It was all clean & tidy! However a huge huge thank you to Betty the chef for catering & making our sons holiday the best! We will be back!

Vor 20 Jahren hatten wir bereits einen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel erlebt, der damals sehr zufriedenstellend und äußerst entspannend war. Die Ausstattung war ebenfalls in gutem Zustand. Leider hat sich seit unserem letzten Besuch vor zwei Jahrzehnten wenig verändert. Die Handtücher, die wir vor 20 Jahren schon einmal genutzt hatten, waren immer noch im Gebrauch und zeigten deutliche Verschleißerscheinungen, sogar Ränder waren aufgelöst. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir gleich darauf hingewiesen, die Poolhandtücher öfter zu verwenden, was uns etwas befremdlich vorkam. Trotzdem haben wir nach vier Tagen die Zimmerhandtücher auf den Boden gelegt, in der Hoffnung, dass sie ausgetauscht werden. Leider geschah dies nicht. Ein weiterer Punkt, der uns enttäuschte. Außerdem ist vor den Zimmern eine neue Straße gebaut worden, wodurch wir den Eindruck hatten, als würden die Fahrzeuge direkt durch unser Zimmer fahren. Besonders in den Nächten zwischen 1 und 4 Uhr waren viele Jugendliche mit lauten Motorrädern und Autos ohne Schalldämpfer unterwegs, was zu schlaflosen Nächten führte. Am nächsten Morgen entdeckten wir sogar Kreise, die von den Hinterrädern der Fahrzeuge gezeichnet wurden. Ein wichtiger Tipp bei der Auswahl eines Hotels: Achten Sie immer darauf, dass keine Straße vor dem Hotel verläuft, selbst wenn es einen Meerblick bietet. Der zweite Punkt geht nur aufgrund des ausgesprochen netten Personals an das Hotel. ************ Twenty years ago, we had already experienced a stay at this hotel, which was very satisfying and extremely relaxing at that time. The facilities were also in good condition. Unfortunately, little has changed since our last visit two decades ago. The towels we had used twenty years ago were still in use and showed clear signs of wear and tear, with even the edges being frayed. Upon our arrival, we were immediately advised to use the pool towels more frequently, which struck us as somewhat strange. Nevertheless, after four days, we placed the room towels on the floor in the hope that they would be replaced. Unfortunately, this did not happen, which was another disappointment. Furthermore, a new road has been built in front of the rooms, giving us the impression that vehicles were driving right through our room. Especially during the nights between 1 and 4 am, many young people on loud motorcycles and cars without mufflers were causing sleepless nights. The next morning, we even discovered circles drawn by the rear wheels of the vehicles. An important tip when choosing a hotel: always make sure that there is no road in front of the hotel, even if it offers a sea view. The second point is awarded solely due to the exceptionally friendly staff at the hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for 6 days. The staff are very helpful and the location is great. Very close to the city centre. The facilities in the hotel such as the swimming pool and spa are very nice as well. Amazing views from the rooftop and infinite swimming pool. The only thing it disappointed me was the breakfast. When comes to health and safety they make most of their foods in deep-fried oil which is horrible for people like me that have cholesterol problems. I have never seen a hotel doing fried eggs in a swimming pool of oil. I had a conversation with other hotel guests as well and they said the same thing. They could not eat the egg as it was very oily and the fork could not grab it. The coffee is not great as well it tastes like powder. So for a 5-star hotel, I would not recommend the breakfast. But the hotel facilities are great indeed. If I had the opposition to come back… I would not do it so. As the breakfast is a facility very important to me.

Struttura (vecchiotta) inizialmente concepita come una sorta di ospedale per terapie curative di pelle e ossa. Convertito poi in hotel. PRO: Spiaggia larga e lunga, pulita, servita. Zona piscina pulita. Ampia disponibilità lettini. Camera ampia e pulita. Zone comuni pulite. Personale reception disponibile. Autobus per il centro a pochi metri dalla struttura. Wi-Fi ben funzionante in tutte le aree della struttura. CONTRO: Bagno con vasca e tenda mancanza della classica doccia. Letto “matrimoniale” grande ma composto da 2 singoli affiancati. In spiaggia Lettini ed ombrellone a pagamento (25€ al giorno). Ascensori insufficienti per 9 piani. Ma la vera nota dolente è il ristorante: Buffet limitato e molto ripetitivo. Cucina spesso senza sapore. Mancanza cartellini che identificano il piatto e/o ingredienti. Pasta insipida e poco condita, senza la possibilità di aggiungere formaggio grattugiato. Ritengo pulizia e ristorazione due cose fondamentali per una buona vacanza. Se una delle due manca, la vacanza è rovinata. L’isola merita una visita, questa struttura molto meno.
