Hotel a Ponta Do Pargo, Portogallo

I was looking at my reviews on TripAdvisor when I saw my previous review of this hotel where I gave it 4 stars. Still not bad of course, but I wanted to write another review as me and my husband have been back to Saccharum twice(!) after my first review. So I thought about writing a new review. This is now our favorite hotel on Madeira, as it’s not as crowded like a lot of hotels in Funchal. Calheta is beautiful and not crowded at all. We really appreciate privacy and a calm environment when we go on holiday, and Saccharum is great for this! Sometimes restaurants are packed with other tourists and you’re seated a couple centimeters away from other guests but here at Saccharum you can eat all relaxed in whatever restaurant of the hotel you please. We really like the bar next to the sea, Calhau. They have nice vegetarian options for me. Also everything is clean and hygiene is great. That’s so important to me. So after our new experiences at this hotel I’ve wanted to change my 4-star review into a 5-star review. We are now planning to take my parents to Madeira in October of this year to show them this beautiful island, and we will be staying at Saccharum!

Ho visitato questo hotel prima della recente ristrutturazione e vorrei conoscere questi cambiamenti. Sono molto sorpreso! Mi piace molto il concetto aperto di reception, bar, ristorante e la sua decorazione. Ho sottolineato le modifiche apportate alla camera: decorazione, comfort e servizi extra (tè, caffè, champagne e minibar). Mi piace la piscina costruita sulla terrazza e l'area circostante. La colazione è ottima e mi piace l'idea del menu della cena. Il personale è molto cordiale e attento. Congratulazioni! ! ! ?

Fantastic!! Having never done an all inclusive holiday due to my sons serious allergies we can honestly not recommend more! Travelling with a 3 month baby in tow also the rooms were ideal & spacious for our needs. It was all clean & tidy! However a huge huge thank you to Betty the chef for catering & making our sons holiday the best! We will be back!

L’hotel Aqua Natura è un posto veramente straordinario, questa era la mia seconda volta presso questo hotel, si trova realmente davanti all’oceano, proprio sopra alle meravigliose piscine naturali di Porto Moniz. Le stanze sono belle e molto confortevoli, la pulizia è impeccabile. L’accoglienza é perfetta e in generale tutto il personale è molto gentile. La prima colazione eccezionale. L’hotel dispone di due ristoranti che ho personalmente sperimentato, sono entrambi ottimi e con vista spettacolare. A completare l’esperienza un solarium con jacuzzi e sauna, tutto sempre davanti all’oceano. Ci tornerò!! Consigliassimo!

Very great hotel in the seafront.

The staff at this hotel were excellent. The location high on the clifftop is superb. Breakfast is full international They run 'open seating for breakfast and dinner. Dinner is buffet style - the choice is very good. They have an indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Car parking by the hotel is difficult but there is a good parking area about 300m up the hill. Our biggest problem was the lack of air conditioning anywhere in the hotel. I think this is unacceptable in a modern hotel in 2023. It was hot - 34C+ in the day and the south-facing rooms get very hot in the afternoon. Reception suggested we leave the patio doors open when sleeping!!

Ieri pomeriggio siamo arrivati a Porto Moniz nel bel mezzo di un temporale. Abbiamo trovato subito questo hotel centralissimo che avevamo prenotato e per fortuna il parcheggio sotterraneo ci ha consentito di scaricare i bagagli senza bagnarci. L'accesso al parcheggio è un po' stretto ma non ho avuto problemi a passarci con la mia auto a noleggio. Nello scendere la rampa abbiamo visto la piscina coperta. Al terzo piano c'è una terrazza con un bar che non si capisce bene quando sia aperto. La nostra camera, per scelta, era ubicata al pian terreno, il che non ci ha consentito di tenere molto aperta la porta finestra. Essenziale l'arredamento ma comodissimo il letto. Ottima e abbondante la prima colazione inglese con tanto di uova fritte e bacon. Assai cortese il personale di reception e di sala. Il punto più dolente del soggiorno è stato il wifi, perché il segnale era inesistente in camera, lentissimo alla reception e leggermente più veloce sulla terrazza del terzo piano. Un hotel di questo tono dovrebbe provvedersi di un wifi migliore.
