Sky Island Resort

The all experience was a blast, the location is stunning, the staff is super caring, helpful, and amazingly sweet, the rooms we had were super clean and comfortable. The food is great and the included breakfast was such a plus, everything is made out of fresh products and you definitely can taste it. They even upgraded us for our first night in the chalet and we spent our second night in the deluxe tents which were so comfortable and well equipped ! A fantastic experience we want to recommend to all of you ! Thanks a lot for this amazing stay !

The resort is situated on a 70 m high dune with spectacular views to the beach and the ocean. Unfortunately the size of the place has been reduced due to a land title conflict which also resulted in a change of the trail leading to the beach which is now quite steep. The chalets are nice, have comfortable beds and the showers work well - even hot water is available. The staff is very helpful and polite and the menu offers a good selection of food and drinks. The breakfast is however quite South African and in three days it was not possible to get what we asked for (omelette without anything)…once it was accompanied by bacon, once by beans, then by tomatoes. We were also wondering why no orange or pineapple juice was offered for breakfast although there were plenty of these fruits on the counter/bar. It would be good if the staff offered activities available to the visitors. In our case nothing was offered.

Ponta Malongane itself is off the beaten track and very rustic but also very charming. Sky Island lodge is a true gem in this rural community. The staff are incredible and nothing on earth could dampen their spirits. They are a crew of true professionals. Their service is top notch and on top of that the location is absolutely epic! What a place and what an amazing stay. Our two touring families really enjoyed the week we spent at Sky Island and will definitely be back there very soon! Highly recommended!
