La struttura esterna monolitica affacciata sul porto non è entusiasmante ma basta entrare in questo raffinato hotel della catena portoghese Octant per rendersi conto di trovarsi in una dimensione di lusso discreto ed autentico che non è facile da reperire su queste meravigliose isole non ancora invase dal turismo di massa. L’hotel è molto moderno, le camere eleganti ed estremamente funzionali sono di dimensioni adeguate, sia pur non eccessive, e si affacciano tutte sul porto con una bellissima prospettiva sull’azzurro del mare. Il servizio è accuratissimo, la colazione è offerta nel bellissimo ristorante ed è di eccellente qualità. Anche la cena a la carte nello stesso ristorante è di livello ampiamente superiore allo standard locale (e con prezzi ugualmente superiori). E’ presente una piccola e reffinata spa, una ben attrezzata palestra ed una deliziosa area solarium con una piccola piscina all’ultimo piano In generale l’atmosfera è di livello elevato ed i prezzi di conseguenza adeguati all’offerta. Esperienza comunque assolutamente ripetibile, volendo il meglio in questa bellissima isola.

Camera confortevole e grande . Personale visibile super simpatico e molto conveniente. Il colazione 5 stelle . Posizione 5 stelle . Almeno in soggiorno si fa il rumore della camera, perché si ascoltano i rumore delle persone della camera accanto e anche l'igiene dei letti da letto ( si vedevano lavare ma con qualcosa di vecchio e con pinti di panno vecchio e inconfortabile ... che disapprezzato! ....

Il centro di San Miguel è stato il nostro primo viaggio a San Miguel e possiamo solo raccomandare questo hotel! 10 minuti dall'aeroporto, personale fantastico, centro a tutto e spaziose, camere pulite. Tutto era senza spot, il personale alla reception molto attento e utile. Abbiamo dovuto prenotare per colazione, ma non c'è problema, se non vuoi prenotare per evitare di aspettare, c'è un bar/magnifico proprio fuori a sinistra.È centrale un perfetto per esplorare Ponta Delgada e l'ambiente. Non ha un parcheggio se si noleggia un'auto ma c'è un parcheggio appena in piedi per 50p l'ora.

The hotel was clean and surprisingly quiet given its central location. The blue and white color combination throughout was a nice design choice. The bed was on the hard side, but was actually two beds pushed together so you can fall into the canyon in the middle of the night. The breakfast was ok, the variety of items was the normal selection but it wasn’t very tasty. There is a Spa area that you can reserve access in one hour time blocks. It’s a hot tub, sauna and steam room that also comes with shower and bathroom. The steam room was more of a stink room and so not usable. There is a rooftop pool that was nice. Parking-The listing says that there is free parking but in reality it’s not accessible (at least when I was there) because of random street closures that meant that the street in front of the hotel was inaccessible to cars and I had to park a couple blocks away. On that note a warning that the dense urban center is tough to drive around because of very narrow streets, one ways, and random street closures meant that google maps was nearly useless for navigation that I just got frustrated and parked the car and then walked the rest of the way to the hotel. My room, number 101, had a silly design flaw in that the bathroom walls were glass and so anyone else in the room can see you in the shower or sitting on the toilet. There is fogged glass that only goes 1/2 way up but that doesn’t really address the issue of seeing you or hearing bathroom noises.

Avevo un piacere molto da questo hotel! Poiché la città è piccola, ho trovato che potevo facilmente camminare verso il tratto principale, un centro commerciale e anche una fattoria di mele da qui. Il personale era molto professionale e amichevole, e puliti la mia stanza ogni giorno. Il prezzo era grande, il colazione era decente, e il bagno era bello, pulito e spazioso. Il condizionamento d'aria funzionava molto bene (era qui in estate). E ho detto quanto era amichevole e pulito tutto!? Spero di poter restare ancora qui!

After leaving our first accommodation after 2 nights of a 7 night stay because of road noise we found this gem of a hotel. The reception was very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely quiet room whist still being central to all the city offered. Breakfast was nice too. Thank you for all your help.

When I booked originally 8 months before departure, this hotel wasn’t even on Expedia. According to my tour driver it had been a hostel until Covid. There are 3 floors with 3 rooms. The staff is very helpful and friendly. You could leave your luggage in the office until your room was ready. There was a cafe that opens from breakfast till dinner. The room was plenty spacious with a full kitchenette and marble bathroom. It’s located within a five minute walk of the main plaza and about 10 minutes from the main marina. Small grocery stores and plenty of restaurants and coffee shops are nearby. It is definitely a hidden treasure in ponta del gada.

Un posto meraviglioso in una posizione perfetta! Camminare breve ai ristoranti, ai caffè e al fianco dell'acqua. Camminare molto pulito. Piazza carina. Personale amichevole, utile. Luogo accogliente per la nostra famiglia di 5. Tutti avevano il proprio letto. Noi abbiamo affittato una macchina per esplorare l'isola. Parcheggio gratuito a pochi isolati. Grazie Carlos, Luis e Maria! Ci ritroveremo!
