I had the pleasure of staying at Karibu Beach Resort in Zanzibar for 15 days, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality, setting the tone for a truly unforgettable stay. Small and Intimate, Yet Exquisite Karibu Beach Resort is a boutique hotel with only 15 rooms, creating a peaceful and intimate atmosphere. The resort feels like a private paradise, far from the typical overcrowded tourist spots. Despite its size, the service here is nothing short of 5-star quality. Every member of the staff goes above and beyond to ensure guests have everything they need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. A Dream Vacation in Paradise If you’re looking for a quiet, luxurious getaway with exceptional service, amazing food, and stunning views, Karibu Beach Resort is the perfect place. It’s an intimate, peaceful haven where you can relax and enjoy the best of Zanzibar. Everything about this resort is designed to make your vacation feel like a dream, and I can’t recommend it enough.

The hotel canceled our booking for no reason. No one can be reached by email or phone. The couple traveling with us received an email from the hotel to make a rebooking because of a group staying the same days. Our booking was simply canceled. If you treat guests like this, it's just shameful and definitely not a 5-star hotel.

The KBR is a small (14 room), quiet, wonderfully relaxing resort with excellent amenities, wonderful food, an empty, wide, beautiful white sand beach in a little bay that is well protected from the open ocean by barrier reefs. Low tide exposes a long flat beach, high tide lets in a shallow green ocean. Facing the sunrise, with beautiful light for sunsets, this is a little, hidden gem. The staff are very friendly, always helpful, and the premises are extremely well maintained, including an impeccable, small swimming pool. Most visitors are romantic couples, but I enjoyed my solo visit just as much.

The hotel is new, modern and in prestine condition. The room and bahtroom is luxurious. Right on the beach!! Staff are very friendly and helpfull. Maasai are security and a nic add to the authenticity of the hotel. The beach is a bit dirty due to seaweed and it is a quiet beach - not really other resorts or restaurants nesrby.

A lovely, boutique hotel and we were made to feel like family! We were very impressed with our stay. The food was great and we were able to enjoy local Swahili food (chapati, fried banana / plantain, local fish, ugali). The staff were friendly and welcoming. The spa treatments were AMAZING! I had a deep tissue massage 2 days in a row because they were that good! The massage therapist added an African twist which Wes really cool - nice massage of the feet and removing deep knots in the back! Overall a great stay!

I was 7 days at Karibu Beach Resort on February 2022. Everything was perfect! Great beach, stuff and beautifull hotel! Also restaurant is very nice. The seafood were incredible! See next year! Asante Sana ! ;)

We stayed for 7 nights there, great location, the room was spacious, the people working at the reception very kind and helpful, breakfast was very good!! We back to Karibu Beach Resort soon as possibile :)

Holiday of life!! Small, boutique hotel. But an amazing place. Standard at the highest European level. The workers are very skilled. They know English on a very good level, which is very important to me The food is so delicious. I recommend trying the Zanzibari octopus The rooms are very elegant and comfortable. Like in an apartment building

Karibu Beach Resort very quickly became our home that we returned to even after having already checked out. The layout and attention to detail in the design of this venue is spectacular - a balance of modern and authentic. It is located on a perfectly peaceful part of Pongwe beach, where one can relax, take a swim or do some water sport if you like. The friendly, attentive, professional staff are truly what make this place even more magical! Each member of staff make you feel like you are family and go above and beyond with any requests! A great place to also just pop in and have lunch and cocktails. Truly the best place on this part of the island!
