Wave Resort - Ultra All Inclusive

Checked out 3rd June, Overall good but a couple of things let it down hence why not 5 stars. Good points, Facilities are very good Cleanliness is excellent Staff very attentive Everything is there when you need it. Not so good points, Evening entertainment is very repetitive -Same thing every night. We had Dance acts every night, there is no variety! Restaurant food isn't warm enough, it's cold by the time you've got back to your table to eat! You don't also have a chance to finish your meal before plates are taken from you. The outdoor pools are freezing cold. Overall it was a good holiday, would highly recommend a visit to Nessebar, Pomorie is Ok, but there isn't an awful lot to do /see there, plus you get dropped off in the middle of town without any guidance or help as to where things can be found! If you are going with Jet2, I would recommend the South tour as an excursion- lasts all day and is full of facts and info about Bulgaria, you get a good river boat ride and lunch as well. We will return in the future, but we wouldn't stay for any more than seven nights.

We stayed 3rd-10th June 2024 and were slightly unsure about staying in a self-contained complex not near to anything else, however felt it would be good for the kids. Turns out it was good for us too! We didn’t leave the complex, despite the 3x daily free shuttle to & from Pomorie. The kids just had such a good time with the pools, splash park, playground, beach, evening disco and show, that we didn’t feel the need. Though if we’d stayed any longer, we would have taken advantage of the free shuttle, and probably done one of the Jet2 provided trips too. This is a long review. Long story short, if you’re happy to stay in one place, definitely book it. If you want more detail, I’ve done a paragraph or 2 on various topics. Hotel Really interesting design, perhaps not to everyone’s tastes, but you’d know that from the photos. I thought it was really interesting to look at, and the architects have clearly spent a lot of time and thought designing the hotel so that it not only looks good, but is very functional. The food court & bar area by the childrens’ pool is such a good idea, allowing everyone to get food when wanted (and avoiding screaming hungry children around the pool). The nighttime fountain display (9PM) is lovely (total of 2 displays, on alternate nights). The outside space is also very well designed. The Lillies blossomed during our stay and looked beautiful. Pools Like the hotel, the pools have been intricately designed and feel luxurious. The large main pool that runs central through the outside area is a little chilly, however, we acclimatised quite quickly, I can’t see it being a problem through the Summer. We unfortunately did not get to use the adults only pool so can’t speak about it, however everyone there looked very relaxed! The sunloungers and Cabannas were plentiful and comfortable. There was no problem with lounger reserving and we always managed to find a spot we wanted very quickly. The pools were clean throughout our stay. Inflatables and pool toys are allowed and can be purchased in the hotel shop for only slightly more than UK standard prices. Beach This was the only slight disappointment for us (and I emphasise the slight). You enter the beach from the back of the pool area and immediately come across a couple of rows of loungers (again plenty for during our stay). The beach then slopes steeply to the shoreline which would be a problem for individuals with mobility difficulties. Having young children with us, we dragged a couple of loungers down the slope so we could be near them at the waters edge. The sand is a dark colour (not a problem) and makes good sandcastles. The seabed drops off quite suddenly a couple of meters into the water, we felt we could not let our children paddle for fear of them suddenly going under (they’re 3 & 6 years old). Initially we were disappointed, but actually this did not cause us any problem as all the kids wanted to do was grab a little water in their buckets from the waters edge to hel

We had a lovely stay for just 3 nights here. Yes it has no other hotels or anything close by, so may not suit you if you like to go out of the hotel. It has brilliant facilities for children and would say it is more suited for families. We travelled as a couple and did enjoy the adult area sunbed section. I would suggest that they have other adult only sections such as part of the buffet and an adult bar, as children can be noisy when they are hot and tired (we like a bit of piece and quite these days). Food was good and varied. It could be hotter but there is a microwave to warm things up if needed. The travel companies market the hotel as 4 star plus and this a fair rating. If they did a few tweeks it could be 5 star.

We are currently still here and are having the best time so thought we would review ! Pools There is loads to choose from , adult quite pools more lively pools kids pools and heated pools we managed to get Sunbeds everyday and still loads about there is also adult slides and a amazing kids area with slides and a large emptying bucket along with a indoor play and outdoor park . Room Our room was one of the best we have stayed in lovely sea view , very spacious loads of storage walk in style wardrobe , double sink vanity area , hairdryer .. beds are soooo comfy.. large tv mini bar filled daily with drinks and mini kitkats ! Plenty of plug sockets . Food We only ate from the main restaurant but can say the food was always delicious such a massive selection ti choose from all cooked fresh in front of you ! Cocktails ! What can I say we made are way three a load of diffrent ones and they was all great ! Kids slushes available along with all day icecream and ice lollies .. they have a t kids buffet as well along with a Willy style and scooped icecream Also free wifi everywhere and free safe Staff and entertainment The grounds and hotel are all absolutely spotless there is always cleaning staff everywhere making sure everything is perfect and everyone we have encountered have greeted us with a smile and hello .. the day time entertainment crew work hard at creating a fun environment for the kids and the shows are pretty good to ! Overall we have loved are time here at the wave resort and will be back again and will be recommending to family and friends !

It was the 1st holiday I took with my little boy so I was a bit nervous about it. We arrived at midnight and they have food set up for out of restaurant hours which was fantastic for us as my boy was wired and having a sandwich, banana and a donut helped settle him down while I went straight for a cocktail and chocolate cake. The room was lovely, with a great view, and they had a travel cot up for us, I stuck it in the wardrobe area out the way so he sort of had his own room. The food was brilliant, lots of choice, tastes great, they even have a kids buffet area which was great for quickly choosing a meal for my boy. They have a baby station with formula, jars and pouches of baby food and a microwave, along with fresh full fat milk which was fantastic for us. The ice cream went down a hit (tip do not give your kid strawberry or chocolate ice cream because when they get it everywhere it stains, though with plenty of vanish and soaking when you get home it does wash out, and bring plenty of wet wipes!) The pools were great, some were warmer then others but the temps while we were there were 26-30 so ideal. I would suggest beach wet shoes for everyone as walking around the poolside is not a nice surface, probably to stop kids running. We didn't go to the beach as it's not exactly poor sand and the poolside was just better for kids. the poolside bars were great and offered food as well (pizza, kebabs, wraps, donuts, waffles, ice cream). My little boy thought the foundation show in the evening after the kids disco was 'WOW' and loved sitting on the balcony with his evening bottle of milk to watch it, he preferred it over reading a story. The shop there does have stuff if you've forgotten anything likes wipes nappies sun lotion, though it's expensive. My only gripe was that we had to check out at 11am but we didn't leave till after 1pm and when you have a little boy who does not nap in a buggy but wants a dark room and he naps over lunch it made the last day a little stressful. I would so go again, we loved it!

It is not the first time I visit the hotel. I always like it very much. Spacious, clean, beautiful and well-kept. Special thanks to Chef Alexiev for the always delicious and varied food in the restaurant and for the wonderful attitude of the entire staff. We would be happy to visit the hotel again!

We recently stayed at Wave Resort, Pomorie, booked through Jet2, from April 9th to April 16th, 2024. While our previous experiences with Jet2 were positive, this holiday did not quite meet our expectations. Pros: Staff: The staff were friendly and always ready to assist. Cleanliness: The hotel and rooms were clean and well-maintained. Food Availability: There was food available 24/7 from a snack bar, which was very convenient. A-la-carte Restaurant: The on-site a-la-carte restaurant was exceptional, providing a delightful dining experience, although it wasn't included in the all-inclusive package. Spa: The spa facilities were excellent, although they were crowded even during the low season. Cons: Family-Friendliness: The resort was marketed as ideal for families, but we found the children's and adult entertainment lacking. The only children's activity was a nightly mini disco, and the adult entertainment was repetitive and brief. Conferences: The hotel hosted two large conferences during our stay, which disrupted the holiday atmosphere. Businesspeople in suits and large displays of building materials took away from the leisure experience. Many of these businesspeople drank alcohol from the morning through to the evening and made it feel like an unsafe & rowdy environment for families with small children. Food Quality: The buffet food was mostly cold, with limited variety. The children's desserts were in poor condition, and we suspect my wife got food poisoning from the seafood risotto on our final day. General Location: The resort's location was poor, although there was a free bus to Pomorie and a taxi service to Nessebar costing £20 each way. Nessebar is a must-see. Room Layout: The AirCon in our room didn't work, and the layout was poor. The doors to the toilet and shower were made of obscured glass, but you could still see through them, which might be uncomfortable for some guests. Summary: Overall, our stay was a mix of highs and lows. The resort's promotional materials did not accurately reflect our experience. The presence of conferences on site added an element of business & the hustle and bustle which destroyed the holiday vibe. We hope Jet2 addresses these issues for future guests.

We were having a great time at the wave facilities are fab. But we got a horrible surprise at reception today when leaving. Told we had to pay for 2 massages a week ago. It was a lovely start to our holiday. Girl assured me. It was free. Gave thestaff a good top. But told today we had to pay over 200 levsfor them. Sad end to our holiday
