We are a family of 3, two adults and 14 year old son and have just returned following our stay for May half term. The hotel is what you would expect of a 4* in Spain. We had a lovely refurbed room which we had upgraded to a sea view. The beds were quite hard but we prefer this and they were so comfy probably the best we have slept in on holiday. The maids came in to clean every day. Staff were all friendly and work extremely hard, you see them serving last thing at night and then first thing the next morning. Breakfast is the usual AI with a selection of cereals, fruit, egg station, sausage, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, bakery section etc. A good variety of choice and we always found something we liked. The lunchtime buffet again had plenty to offer with delicious salad options, a selection of meat, fish and paella and choice of pizza, nuggets chips etc. As this hotel is used by many cyclists I think most of them are out cycling so we easily got sunbeds every day without having to be up stupidly early. The negatives for us was that this hotel is aimed at families with younger children, there was not very much for our teenage son. Our first 2 days there was no pool games or anything which we thought was odd for half term. Day 3 they did then start to offer some games such as water volley ball, archery and darts. We did hire the bats and played paddle a few times but in the blazing heat this wasn't ideal but we just tried to keep our son entertained. There is a football court but we did not see any football games so unless your child makes friends and plays on the court this is pointless. They did however announce on our last day that they were going to play football on the court but we were leaving half an hour later so sadly our son did not get to join in. The evening entertainment was not for us, aimed very much at little ones, and then sometimes a live singer but would be finished by 10-10.30pm but went out each night as we preferred the offerings outside of the hotel. The drinks on AI wasn't the best if i'm honest. Any branded drinks were chargeable, the cocktails came out of a blending machine like a slushy and were extremely sweet, the beer was flat and the ice-creams on the board you had to pay for only mini milks were on AI. During the day you could only get drinks at the pool bar and there was always a queue, sometimes having to queue for 20 minutes in the heat as they only had one person serving. Our room did not have much space as there was an extra bed in there for our son but it was sufficient enough as we didn't really spend much time in the room other than to get ready and to sleep. We did find it odd that there were 3 of us sharing the room but they only supplied 2 cups and 2 glasses. The worst thing about the room is there is very little storage space, I had taken extra clothes hangers after reading other reviews but it was still a struggle with 2 adults and a teenager who is taller than me and in adult clothes.
