Hideaway Cove Poipu Beach

We spent 4 nights in the Coral 1-bedroom unit in January. The property has two other units on site, and is easy walking distance to Poipu Beach where we saw great sunsets, experienced great weather, and saw Green Turtles and Monk Seals on the beach. The owners have done a great job on the remodeling. Very good quality materials throughout. We made use of the barbecue and beach chairs that are provided. There is also onsite laundry. The neighborhood is primarily resort style lodging, and the road is off the main traffic areas. Overall a great location.

We stayed at the top floor of this house with three separate units. There is a beautiful garden with a Plumeria tree and a patio with seating and dining table to enjoy the setting. Our unit on top had peekaboo views of the ocean over some greenery. The kitchen is fully stocked so we cooked a lot and there is laundry on site so it really feels like home. The upstairs has a jacuzzi with water views as well, something of a rarity in Poipu. We loved everything about the place and plan to come back!!

We just spent a magical week on the island of the Kaua'i and a big part of what made it so special was our accommodation. Located minutes (by foot) away from the ocean and Poipu Beach, Hideaway Cove was the perfect setting. It is a private home that has been converted into 3 rental units all with full amenities. We stayed in the 1 bedroom Coral unit which was perfect for us. We spent the majority of our time while at the unit sitting on the Lanai, enjoying a meal or just taking in the sites and sounds around us. We thought the 8 minute walk over to Poipu Beach would be a bit inconvenient when we googled it but in the end it was nothing as it is really just a 2 minute stroll down to the ocean and then you are walking along the shore, first watching the sea turtles body surf the big waves as they come crashing into the rocks, then checking out the boogie boarders at Brennickies Beach and finally across the grassy area over to Poipu Beach where you can watch the sea turtles come in each night (and/or go back out first thing in the morning) and see the monk seals either playing out in the water or chillaxing on the beach. The facility had everything we needed to cook meals in or bring take out back to enjoy. The management staff were incredibly responsive and helpful when we needed to reach out (they even had a broken washing machine replaced in a day - I doubt I could get that done that fast here at home - Thank you Dale!!) The only blip in an either wise perfect week was when a family with small children arrived to take over the 2 bedroom unit upstairs. I am sure it would have been fine if the parents acknowledged that their kids could be a bit loud and needed a little "coaching" on how to co-exist respectfully in this type of setting but in the end the parents seemed to resent us lower unit dwellers mentioning this. The good news is they only stayed one night :) We will definitely look into booking Hideaway Cove the next time we plan a trip to Kaua'i.

We had a wonderful time staying in the Dolphin Suite, which is a spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed studio on the ground floor. The patio looks out onto a beautiful tropical garden, a perfect place for our morning coffee. The location is great, with only a short walk to the beach. It's also very convenient that parking is provided. Hideaway Cove served as a great base for exploring Kauai. The property managers were accessible and very helpful. All in all a delightful stay.

Viel Platz in dem Apartment und sehr umfangreiche Küchenausstattung, schöne große Terrasse sowie nette Sitzgelegenheiten im gepflegten Garten. Sehr nah zum Strand bzw. den Restaurants und Shopping-Gelegenheiten. Die Möglichkeit Wäsche zu waschen haben wir sehr geschätzt. Eines unserer besten Unterkünfte auf unserer mehrwöchigen Hawaii-Reise.
